God I hate these kids asking their parents to stop smoking adverts! Couldn't they have got kids that speak properly? :rotfl: I'm being very snobby today! I can't stand the boy that keeps saying be-cawwse it really grates on me!

  • Oh, quick flying visit - I forgot to tell you Izzy's exciting news. DH bought her a drum. It is the best thing ever. (Since the last best thing, and until the next one turns up anyway) She has already mastered hitting the drum with the drum sticks, although only one at a time. The lemons we bought yesterday are fun too! It's easy to amuse a baby!

I'm watching someone trying to cut a tigers nails on the tv... looks easier than doing Izzy's this morning!

Do you mean the hampers that you pay money into every week? I would imagine you could make your own up cheaper with supermarket offers... Plus it would be all things you like...

The ASDA own one is very cheap - I got it the other day reduced to a fiver not used it yet though. WIll be doing my shopping some time this week as my batch cooking is running very low!

Will be back to catch up properly later - I liked the idea of an MSE secret santa!

I need to do Jack's bottles and walk to ASDA but it's soooooooooooo windy I might get blown away :rotfl:

SM If you mean hampers like krystal said then I reckon you're better off just setting up a savings account with an SO then you can get the best deal at christmas.
My mum used to get a meat hamper and it was cheap meat IMO

SM, you could get a Tesco/Sainsburys giftcard and top it up every time you go in between now and just before xmas then go spend it all on your xmas food..

We tend to do ours with the last pay day before christmas... I don't tend to go too overboard though, just buy special food for christmas day and we go to my Mum's for boxing day... Everything else is just a normal shop... Plus, the shops are only actually closed for 1 day so there's no need to go mad ;)

I think I might encourage hubby to save some money for after christmas this year so we can go and enjoy the boxing day sales....
