He was very sick when Jas was born, in hospital on and off for 2 months. He isnt as bad this time, but is a bot sore and sick which is mostly in the mornings so I have to do all the mad rush with 2 kids on my own !!
HV never got back to me, so he is still on his Gaviscon for now, but it obviously isnt working as he has been sick after every bottle in the last 3 daysDoesnt seem to bother him though, he doesnt get upset by it or cry, just drinks, throws up, drinks some more, throws up some more and falls asleep !!
Have you a weekend of no appointments? Bet you need to relax before the MRI.The two best things I have done with my life

Oh, I meant to say earlier, what your mum is saying, she would have said anyway, even if Rhys wasnt sick !!
My mum was always offering to do everything for me when Jas was born and telling me she wasnt sure how I would cope and then when Chris went into hospital I think everyone thought I was about to fall apart !! (well I did and had quite bad PND, but didnt tell anyone)
Its a mums job to think that they are better at things to do with babies than their babies areThe two best things I have done with my life

Yup, no apps til Monday now
Forgot to say earlier, the comms nurse phoned (just as we were dashing out to the scan app, hence it slipped my mind) and said yesterday's bloods were good - sodium, potassium and calcium all now finally within the correct range :jChanging to weekly blood tests now. So next week, it's Mon=MRI, Tues=discharge from hospital (assuming he has to have a general and is kept in overnight), Wed=eyes, Thurs=bloods and jab, Fri=day off!
ETA: Mon is an 8am app and Wed is a 9.20am app _pale_ Do you think I can go in PJs?0 -
Oh thats fantastic news, your little fighter is getting better by the day
You must be really proud of him
I'm sure jammies would be fine, stick a pair of high heels and some make-up on and no one will noticeThe two best things I have done with my life

Think i must have been first up this morning. For some reason Rose had a really sleepy day yesterday. So then, come 4.30 this morning, she thought it was time to get up!! Of course she's back to sleep now.
Got a busy day today. Off out looking at new kitchens with MIL ( for her, not me ) Have some things ending on ebay tomorrow so i'd better get brown paper etc to post them off. Supposed to be going to a fancy dress party tonight but i dont think we're going. Im forever getting wrong off my eldest DD for being so anti social. I never used to be but just dont have the energy right now.
Hope everyone else managed a better sleep than me and has a lovely day xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
many many thanks for the thoughts about gender-specific clothes and toys.
What a lovely helpful bunch you are
I'm also interested to know if anyone's specifically hunted out 'non-white (caucasian)' dollies for their LOs?
I'd like fergus to have a range if possible. The only mum I know who persued this faithfully has 2 little girls who are half Indian and noticed that the eldest would often point to very fair girls and women with blond hair and say 'pretty!' but not people with darker skin.
My pal is keen to raise her girls with a healthy self-image, so resolved to hunt out dollies of all ethnicities.
what's everyone up to this weekend?
I am going to help the fairies find a lot of Jiffy bags

Rhys is 20wks on Sunday - seems a good time!
I'd like to use neutral colours, but the one time she wore blue leggings, blue striped top and green jacket, 3 people in Asda asked me what HIS name was! :mad:My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »How about:

Weezl, many years ago, when my eldest DD was at nursery ( she's 15 now ), they had a black doll and my DD fell in love with it. It was the only one she would play with and I used to have tears when it was time to leave and she had to leave it behind. She used to say it was pretty too. Im not sure how as like most dolls in nursery , I think it only had one eye, had an arm falling off etc ( no health and safety like there is now! ). One xmas i went off to try and find one to buy her. She was never really a girly girl ( unlike now ) and didnt really play with dolls, but loved this one to bits xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090
