It's funny because we always kept the vacuum cleaner in the living room in our old house and Alice would even climb on it while it was switched off but was scared when it was on.I really need to hoover, so there is a clean background for doing my ebay photos - but i've just brought the hoover out of the shed, and cause mass hysteria in DD2! I've not even plugged it in yet!
I think we've kept almost everything. Some things (cards, samples of wrapping paper from presents, birth announcement, first shoes etc.) are for her memory box and the rest is for future babies. We did get rid of a load of soft toys though because she had too many and have given away all the clothes we didn't/wouldn't use. We also gave away the disposable nappies we'd bought for our first holiday which were too small as we thought they might not work as well if they were really old and we happened to find someone with a baby the right size. When we got Alice's second carseat (at nine months), we filled the box it came in with everything that was used from birth which we no longer used. I then have boxes of clothes labelled by size (e.g. 3-6m, 6-9m etc) and have done it in red for girls clothes and green for neutral (the neutral boxes cover multiple sizes as there's less of that). Other than that, there's the high chair (in its box), the moses basket, the cot and a couple of plastic underbed storage boxes of random things (like sleeping bags, cotton wool, baby blankets etc.)okay - discussion question for the morning ladies (and Bruno if you are lurking). How much stuff are you keeping as baby gets bigger? Does this change if this is not a first baby? if you have more than one baby, what do you wish you had/hadn't kept? Thanks xxx

He started saying I was speaking rubbish and didn't care if I got trading standards on them, then he did a U turn in about a second and said he would give me a new one!
We used to have "code brown situations" - I thought I made it up but maybe it came from somewhere.oh is that what it was, I was dealing with a code brown and missed it
Alice is six months older than Henry and she's only just started being able to properly jump on a trampoline. (Before she would jump very quickly from one foot to the other - a bit like running on the spot.) We've got one very similar to the one you linked for Alice for Christmas (but we got it for £30 from B&Q). OH thinks the big ones are an eyesore (our next door neighbour has one in their front garden so it's what we look at when we're sitting in the living room) but he agreed to a little one.Slide was OH's idea, or a trampoline but I think that Lo is a bit young for one of the big trampolines?Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

been lurking but not much to say (believe it or not!)
anyways - thanks Nikkit
do we think this is 6 bottles for £7.50 and what size do we think they are?
I have the 150ml but will need bigger ones eventually - if it is 6 for £7.50 seems a bargain!
if its the tommee tippee bottles your talking about, its the crap ones with no markings! they look manky, they go a funny shape if you pour boiling water in them, you cant see how much water your putting in them and they feel so cheap.
eta, its 6 for a fiver and TT are refunding you if you email them, which is what I'm going to do

I have just made my first call to a childminder

She came on recommendation from Big Boobie and she sound lovely! A bit drippy but very sweet!!
I know I need to make more calls but it took so much for me to make one (I missed my docs appointment psyching myself up
) that I look at the other names and I don't know who to call
I am going to see her on Monday afternoon - does anyone have the list of questions to hand?please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Oh and I have 2 parcels, one next door (but he's still in his bed, lazy swine) and one at the post office. Can't be my breast pump I only ordered it yesterday and I havent ordered anything else, I'm so excited, what can it be? DH says I'm sad...
Amber had her jags and was fine. She was also weighed.... 8lb2oz (she was 7lb6oz on Monday), HV said 'oh you must be doing something right!' Yeah, she's had more formula than breast milk which shut her up. Wondering if I have bought a new pump for nothing now...
Filled out my 10 questions, turns out I'm normal
