    hi ladies,

    how are we all???

a query ... does anyone have recommendations for cots wben space is an issue??? our room isn't huge and i think the time has come to move LO into a cot so am looking at what options there are ... aside from hubby saying to hang her from the ceiling in a hammock!!!

    xxxxx
I have the cheap white cot from Ikea... It's lovely... and relatively cheap... And I'm pretty sure the mattress is better than the one on the cotbed that she'll be going into when she moves into Aimee's room...

thanks krystal, i will have a look at ikea. i just want something that will do for now, as i dont mind getting her a bed later (oh that's nice of me isn't it, not having a problem with getting her somewhere to sleep :D)
  • Oh my - I have just emailed HR with notification of my intention to return to work and now I am sat here in floods of tears. Why is it so hard?

  • I spent the day being an adult today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just wish I could stop Benjamin ignoring me when I get home. He refused to look at me for about half an hour today which is a VERY long time for a 6 1/2 month old to hold a grudge  Just like his bl00dy mother!!

    Hello all! xxx

Bless him! Izzy was pleased to see me when I got home tonight. She crawled over to see me :)

no idea about the custard and fruit ladybird. but about the hoover stuff - my nephew was petrified of the hoover. all my sis had to do was even say the word and he would be in hysterics. as she was a single mother, she had no other option but to use it and let him have a cry...be that the right or wrong way, he found that it wasnt that bad, and she was actually able to go near him with it enough that she could "hoover" his hand, or foot etc, IYSWIM?
other than that i have no experience, as Katie loves it. and if Christopher is crying and i hoover it puts him over to sleeep!!!?? lol

Izzy used to love watching us hoover, but suddenly got scared of it. Babies are WEIRD.

Oh, I forgot to say, we have a tooth! There wasn't one this morning, but when I got home she gummed my finger and I could feel a tooth :) We're having quite an unsettled evening so far, but hopefuly she will be ok once all the lights are off :)

This tooth is the first "achievement" I've actually updated in the bit in the back of the red book.

  • 2 - Izzy is scared of the hoover (like many babies I assume!). Any advice on helping her get over it, or should I not worry about it at the moment? I try and either do it when she isn't here, or when there is someone else to cuddle her (or hoover while I cuddle her), but she just seems to be getting more scared, rather than less. We were working on the principle that if she is around when we do it she might get used to it, but now she is just scared when we bring it into the room - I don't even need to turn it on! Help!
Aimee is still wary of the hoover now.. She takes herself off upstairs if I hoover when she's around... She used to go absolutely nuts if I did it when she was a baby so I just found it easier to do when she wasn't around... Didn't seem much point in distressing her just to get a few crumbs up... Although I do have a carpet sweeper too and used to throw that around quickly if the place was a disgrace and people were coming... Still do it now in fact... And Caitlyn is not at all bothered by the hoover...
