AM first of all STOP OVER THINKING! get an app book with the nicest GP and ask them what they think you should do/if they think you need any tests o find out why ur not having any.
    My bleeding isn't back but I know I'm ov'ing because I know the symptoms - no bleeding doesn't mean n babies ;)
you could also get some ovulation test strips off ebay and test every day for a month, if you get a +ve then you'll know ur still ov'ing and therfore are stll fertile :) xxx
Thnx, am i being neurotic?:p:rotfl:

errr :D No you're understandably worried but I'm sure it's fine.

    Do you know your cycle?

That's the only way I know I'm still oving, I've not bled since the teeny one not long after the birth but I learnt all the signs when I was preparing to ttc Edgar.
I've had all the symptoms of oving (ewm etc) and of periods(spots, moods, pain!!) but with no bleeding,

  • Hiya!

Hope everyone is well, and hugs to anyone who needs them.

We had a lovely, if busy, weekend. We went down to Minehead on friday, which was Bronwen's first trip to the seaside. It was lovely down there- the weather was gorgeous and we found a really cool toy shop that sold old fashioned wooden toys, rag dolls etc. Here is their website: http://www.toyahoy.co.uk/ So we bought a few bits and pieces in there.
Had a nightmare car journey back though - it should have taken 90 minutes, but took almost 3 hours. Luckily I took plenty of extra bottles and formula, so we were ok, but Bronwen was getting a bit grumpy towards the end of the day!

AM, it's different hormones that control ovulation and bleeding. You can still ovulate but not get the hormones to shed the uterine lining. Biologically, not bleeding could mean that you are not having a drop in progesterone and oestrogen, but it's FSH and LH that controls ovulation in a very basic explanation... And don't worry about the womb lining not being fit for pregnancy, it will be renewing itself and still fresh, there is no such thing as a 'build up of old blood', despite some outdated warnings about running packs of the pill together!

I'm not sure. The one we're going to is at Leazes park in Newcastle.

I haven't got the car, so my Mam is taking us but she's scared about driving in Newcastle as she doesn't like city driving :o
:( I never go to Newcastle these days.

I used to be scared of driving in Newcastle (mainly because the first time I went they'd just introduced loads of "no car" lanes and they hadn't changed the sign posts appropriately so I got hideously lost for over an hour) but then when I did my PGCE I had to so I got used to it.

I'm getting jealous of the slow cookers!
What I normally do, is prepare dinner early in the day, and put it in the oven later on, no.5 for half an hour, then turn it down to slow cook til we want it. Last nights chicken vindaloo was gorgeous, the chicken turned all melt in the mouth because it was in the oven for longer than normal because I needed to Wii before I ate.
So, what does a slow cooker do differently to what I'm already doing in my oven? (Sorry if this is a really silly question!)
It's a lot cheaper to run than an oven. You can set it on a time switch.
I find it's scarier to say 2 pay days till christmas :p
We don't have paydays and OH's work is seasonal so I just work out our budget over a full year.
Anyway, regarding my periods, should I be worried?
OH said something like ''you cant be pregnant if you not having periods'' which then got me thinking, what if I never have a period again?
OK so i'm being over paranoid and jumping to the bad conclusion, but what if!
Sorry this sounds so stupid, I know I've just had a baby and got a 5 year old but what if the decision was taken away from me to have another one.
For that couple of mins when the doc told me I wasn't pregnant I cant describe the feeling, but it really made me think about other women who cant have children (and men) and It makes me feel quite lucky that I have been given the gift of children, my godmother spend thousands of pounds and many years trying to concieve and failed, she would of made the perfect mum, sorry I'm waffling.........:o
If it were me I would probably start tracking fertility signs by observing mucus and taking basal body temperature and then if I was still concerned after doing that for a while I would go and speak to my GP about it and take the information with me that I had recorded.
