My little girl is like that, shes 8 and announced she wants an ipod and a phone for christmas. After I had finished laughing, there is no way she's having a phone, I asked her what songs she would put on an ipod, she could only come up with 3!!! I told her she would be better off with a normal mp3 player.

Im usually going great guns at this time of year on ebay but with the postal strike, thats all slowed down as well

I have an attic crammed with toys that I have collected all year that were supposed to be for ebay at christmas, though im thinking of having some toy parties at home instead now. I did really well with the sainsburys toy sale this week and last months boots toy glitch.

I know what you mean Sami, when I seen MM's new avatar I got a bit chocked up thinking that photo was only taken a year ago, he was such a baby, it was the photo of him having his first ever packet of chocolate buttons, now he's tearing round the house shouting at everything "mine" and trying to steal everyones sweets.
Stoopid postal strike is ruining stuff for everyone!

I get all misty eyed over Chris all the time now, this month he has given up the dummy and in potty/toilet trained, he even woke up twice last night to go on the potty and was a bit upset that he'd weed in his night time nappy when he got up :A I hold him extra tight now when he wants cuddles, making the absolute most of them while I can!!;)

She is getting an MP3 player for her birthday and she will get the laptop for Christmas, but she is always on the computer whenever she gets the chance, so it would be worth it !!

em - i have a brilliant doc. he put LO on gaviscon when there was nothing wrong with her weight at all. i just went to see him as i thought she was just a sicky baby and it wasn't until i was looking for something to put in her crib for her to think she was still being held (and i came across the wedges) that i thought she 'might' have reflux.

he just listened to what i described and then put her on the gaviscon.

i do like to see LO more independant as she is very much all over me if i am around but couldn't care less if iam completely out of the house bless her. oh she would love to sit there and rip at a magazine, but i am a horrible mum and wont let her as of course you know where it ends up ... her mouth

he sounds fab, i am so jealous! i think i might move down the road a bit to you and share him ;)

you should let her rip and chew the odd one, they love it :D seth is never happier than when destroying the makro catalogue!! :rotfl:

AF - maybe try the gaviscon again??? maybe she's got heartburn style reflux so its not coming right up making her sick but is coming up enough to hurt and wake her?

    Samsung Jet in lilac.
I just hope the sales guy was genuine, he was really nice and saved me loads compared to what I would have got if I'd just gone with the satio (over £300!!)
He told me (as Em said) that they've had tonnes of satio's back with faults and also tones of nokia N97's too
OH said the jet is good, not many back faulty :)

I bought the oldest 2 a laptop last year to share, but felt it was justified, as I considered it educational.

I thought my 8 year old wanting a phone was hysterical, hows she going to fund it and whos she going to phone, better still, who's going to phone her!!!!

I dont think its possible to give too many cuddles. D is now ready for potty training and although we leave the potty in the living room, he has never used it. He will be 2 in December and as soon as Christmas is over its going to be the no.1 priority. Im probably leaving it late, but my logic is as long as its done before he's 3 and he goes to nursery.

em - i only suffered briefly when PG with heartburn and never during the night, although i had trouble in that department when i was little.

i know i'm lucky to have him as a doc. he has been brilliant with me for things. when i told a HV in town about him putting LO on gaviscon when there had been no weightloss etc she asked for his name as she was so pleased to hear of a doc listening to the mum
