Hugs SS - Poor Mr Boy!I'm 24 and I remember when I was little it was all about "pakkies" I think its better now but still lots of racists about
:rotfl: This just randomly reminded me that whenever I'd ask my Dad where mum was and he was in one of his (very frequent) funny moods he reply "She's run away with a black man":rotfl:
My Grandad used to say that too!
My Nan is absoultely shockingly racist - but thinks she can get away with it because 'i'm 86 you know!'. In fact, its not just she's racist - she's just plain rude to everyone!
Only the other day she told me in her 86 years, she's still not ever tasted a banana! She doesn't trust them because they're from overseas!. :rotfl:
Do you think older people are worse?
My 'nice' Nan, who died when I was a teenager - she was lovely, and very cool for someone from 'that' generation. She had nothing against anyone. I remember being little and going to the cafe - she'd quite often sit us with the local transvestite who was always in there on his own, and chat with him. I never realised at the time - I just thought it was a lady friend of my nans, who had a facial hair problem. :rotfl::beer:0 -

Keely - fingers crossed for your MIL x0 -
My mother is the most racist person I know... The local shop isn't just the local shop it's the 'robbing P***i shop' and she used to work with a guy she called black trevor... There wasn't a white fella working there call Trevor so why the need to label him by his colour I'll never know
My house looks like a chinese laundry, I'm drowning under washing, clean, dirty, ironed and un-ironed... 3 are you busy today? I've got a little job for you
None of us are dressed yet either... Caitlyn's halfway there... She's got a clean vest on...
Oh and after the christmas discussion last night I thought I'd have a look and update our spreadsheet... Seems we've spent £162 on Aimee so far this year  £39 on Caitlyn too and she's not going to know the difference! In our defence... Nothing is full price!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Keely, hope all goes well with your MIL today, and sorry things aren't brilliant with your siblings... My older brother deleted me off his facebook friends a while back... Don't know why either... Families are funny things!

Krystal - I should be busy, but I don't know where to start!
Girls are dressed - i'm not.
I should food shop (Joe is at playscheme til three - and its easier to shop without him)
I've got a pile of ironing and washing to do because i've ignored it all week while I strip wallpaper.
I've still got one wall of the living room to strip, and the bathroom.
The house looks like a building site.
I've got loads of ebay stuff ending tomorrow - so i'll have that to do too.
I know, i'll have another cup of tea while I think about it.:beer:0 -
Morning,
Had a good day yesterday. Went to friend's house for coffee (and donuts). Holly slept the whole time whilst poor friend's baby cried and cried. Poor little boy is bad with colic and didn't stop crying. I am definitely lucky!! Was starting to get a bit worried about Holly though as she pretty much slept all afternoon and I had to force a feed on her after a break of 7 hours! Got her properly awake at around 8pm and thought that she would be up all night bt she slept 1-7 so can't complain.
She has been lying in her Moses basket babbling away to herself which is new.
SS - Hugs to you. Sorry to hear about your poor cat. xx0 -
ooh thats alot to spend on Aimee IMO did you mean to get that much?
Our budget was £100 for Chris(but stopping at just over 90 dues to many bargains) £50 for Edgar (Ed's will catch up to Chris in the next yr or 2)0 -
can anyone help my tired brain work out an answer to a problem?
halloween: usually we get 6-10 doorbell rings from 6.30 (fine) to 11pm (not so fine!)
kids in our area are pretty demanding. One example, I hadn't realised one year that it was halloween and had no sweets in anyway. Answered the door to trick or treater. Explained I didn't have any sweets.
him : biscuit?
me: no we don't eat those either and I've got no cake.
him: yeah you have I'll throw my eggs!
me: now come here little boy. marches rude 8 year old to my kichen cupboard
me: see? you can have a ryvita or a slice of toast.
him: s'a crap treat.
me: goodbye then!
still throws egg and flour at my windows
So they're a rude insistent bunch round here!
ok my doorbell is very loud and wakes fergus. Can't disconnect it without permanently disabling it
don't think the neighbouring kids will obey a 'don't ring bell, little baby asleep' notice, if the above is anything to go on...
any thoughts wise ones?
