Nice to meet you and congrats :j
I think the HV gets in touch within a week or so. You're still under the care of the midwife until baby is about a month old, but if there are no problems and you seem to be managing ok, they'll discharge you earlier.
Charlotte was mega excited as I took her to get new shoes today. She adores shoe shops already. She picked some purple patent leather ones that I wasn't very sure about but she thinks they are wonderful:

Ohh, pretty!I remember having some similar when I was little.
Comms nurses turned up early. Rhys has only gained 40g since last week - I'm not impressed!Consultant hasn't heard back from specialist but has said to double the amount of formula type powder we add to EBM to boost calories - which helps with calorie intake but not if my milk supply drops.. Hmmm
Need to make holes bigger in the teat as a temp measure... sterilised pin do it, do you think?I will order thicker milk teats but they'll take days (weeks!) to arrive - can't buy them in the shops

Hi all,
Congrats mad!
Why have I been watching bid-tv all afternoon?! All I do is talk to the telly and tell them it isn't really a bargain by the time you've paid an extra tenner for the phonecall and shipping!
My books came today - ordered the solid gold Where's Wally set for £6.99, 4 cat stories for nextdoors LO and a box set of 12 Horrid Henry books for Josh for £12.99 - well pleased so putting them away for xmas.
ALso went down to Sainsburys - got Josh a HM Armed Forces figure, got Caitlyn the Glo-worm (can't remember who else got one), a light and sound drum, a little keyboard and a v-tech roly poly penguin - total £26 :TSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
((hugs)) for Elle. Hope the powder helps, and hope supply is okay.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Afternoon all
We've had a fab day - went to visit my grandad, and Izzy showed him all her new tricks (she also crawled under his arm-chair and got stuck - she wasn't impressed by us laughing at her :rotfl:). Grandad took us out for lunch (well, we took him, but he paid
) which was nice too.
Yesterday Izzy was so miserable with her teeth that DH had to go fetch her from nursery, but she has perked up no-end today. Still a bit clingy this morning, but has eaten really well - she ate loads at lunchtime, including trying a bit of everyone elses lunch and then there was no stopping her after all that energy!
I hope everyone else is having a good day tooIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

I've just been dipping in and reading not posting as and when (very rarely!) the little one gives me a chance, but had some good news today so thought I'd post. Edward has finally regained his birth weight (5 weeks today since he was born). When he was weighed on Monday, he had only gained 80g since he was discharged from hospital last Tuesday, but today had gained a whopping 120g in 4 days :j:j:j
Hope all is well with feelie. I've been supported really well since Edward started causing concern on the mental health front, and hope you get good support too. There are some really kind and knowledgeable professionals dealing with PND out there, the trick is just finding them!0
