I have a 4 year old neice and a 3 year old nephew, and need ideas! Mum is a teacher, which makes it harder. Also an 11 month old boy. Any ideas?
Lady from Mental Health team, I brushed off her concerns, but then phoned her back and said I do need help soon. Waiting for a call. I mentu mentioned ined to my Mum how I'm struggling, but made it a bit light hearted but she did say she would always take Toby if needed.
Well done Feely! Try and keep open and honest when you get the call back - don't put up defences or they will think that you are coping better than you are....
Where is your mom going on holiday? If it is somewhere like a caravan or cottage maybe you and Toby could go too??

Can anyone tell me the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 3 Aptimil? We have always used Aptimil Stage 1 when we have used formula but now I am thinking I need some for the CM and I am not sure if he should be on Stage 3 now he is over 6 months.
If anyone knows the differences (and what they mean) I would be grateful.

They are going to Scotland, in a cottage. Middle of nowhere, no phone and no internet. Because of the SPD I can't walk as far as they go, and Toby would need feeding if he went with them. I keep thinking about going and staying with them (after the holiday, they are away for about 9 days in November) but I found it so hard to come back here last time. If I rely on them too much, I feel like I can't cope on my own, and I get scared to come home.
Also emailed homestart, just need to email back to arrange for the person to come out and explain everything. Scared!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
My mum is getting Keira those sparkly princess dress up shoes from Asda for Xmas, cause toys r us want £17 for them!! She has to get the dress from Toys R US though as it's the reversable one.
OH's mum just called me asking what to get Keira for Xmas, I said well she likes peppa pig but don't get too much of it cause I hate plastic tat, and I think she is going to get her a Vtech kidzoom camera - She is so spoiled. I LOVE MY PRINCESS.
She also told me to go buy myself a coat (I dont have 1!) and said I'll give you £50 when I see you next and a cheque for £250 for OH's driving lessons, as he never will do it himself so I've already emailed an instructer for him and asked for 2 a week, during X times, and it's £20 cheaper to book a block of 10.
Hopefully he wont need that many as he CAN drive, he goes out in his mums car (insured of course) and I think he's a good driver!0 -
Mooki - another one that might interest you (if your CM hasn't already come up with it) is apparently the majority of accidents at a CM's house are when the parents are there too. One of the problems highlighted is because there is no defined responsibility for the child at that time. Therefore the CM has asked me to define when she takes responsibility for Benjamin....as soon as he enters her house...or as soon as I leave.
