Oh thankyou..
Our office hours are 0830 to 1635 and when talking about it previously, management have been a bit funny about how there should always be someone in the office at those times (two other senior colleagues work part-time and come in later than that as they have school age children to drop off to school first). I was thinking working hours of 0830-1245 and 1220-1635 on Wednesday so we get a 25 minute handover and both work 19.25hrs a week, rather than the usual 18.75hrs (half of 37.5hrs which is our company's fulltime). I'll include the idea of 0900-1245 and 1220-1605 too - toss up between them wanting to pay out an extra £10 a week or have the office empty for an hour a week.. methink they'll pay out the extra which is what I'm after so it'll work in my favour
(and if anyone kept up with that, you're fab!My head hurts..
)
ETA: Rhys has been referred to Notts neurosurgeons with the suggestion that they make the appointment for the same day as we see the kidney specialists again, and we're due to see them in November although don't have an appointment yet.
37.5 hours a week!!!! GOD I WISH!! I could do a 4 day week then! I have pushed to get a week down to 40 hours in my tender - my current core hours are 42.5 hours a week.
Hope it goes well for you hun - my brain won't concentrate on blocks of text today for some reason so I have no commentangelfairy wrote: »hi all,
sorry i haven't read back yet but will try to (just need to call my folks back home too)
weezl - a few nights ago we were talking routine babies. I was saying that my LO didn't seem to respond/want routines. however, i have now noticed a few things over the past few days:-
1. she always seems to wake at 6am (even when she has been wake on and off on the hour during the night). i use this time to give her her morning bottle (even though i have to use the bottle during the night to settle her).
2. she always seems to have a dirty nappy in the morning. i am thinking it's happening somewhere between 6am-8am but i am not 100% sure (as it's not one i can tell she is doing like usual)
3. for the past few days she has been having a nap in the afternoon at about 3.30pm
i may be clutching at straws, but i was just wondering if this was the start of something and how best to work with it.
she is showing no signs of routine in terms of wanting to go to sleep at night as this still varies greatly.
xx
I am not Weezl but you know how I like to open my big gob :rotfl:
I would work with the 2 or 3 things you have identified and make that the start of your routine. You may find that things start to drop in around them.
So:
6am morning bottle and back to nap or cuddles with mummy or whatever until
8am change nappy, get up have breakfast (a good start to getting her a good 3 meals a day in)
Go through the day as normal...seeing if there is a pattern...
3.30pm - nap, for however long...now make sure you do roughly the same...
Play
Dinner
Bath (if you do)
Nightclothes
Cuddles
Thinking about bed...
Our 'nighttime routine' which is in no means a routine really starts from Benjamins 3.30pm/4pm nap...this is when we start to do preparing for daddy coming home type things, and eat and get changed (we don't bathe him at night generally) and kick around on the floor with mum and dad before thinking about bed about 7.30pm ish.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
