Umm.. nothing has been called that exactly. We have Baby Clinic which is to see the Consultant about all issues briefly every three months (which is probably closest to what you're going to), then we have individual appointments with the specialists for kidney issues and physio issues, plus check up appointments for eyes and ears.
At Baby Clinic, the Consultant goes over all his medication (requires me to tell her what he's on.. drives me nuts - she prescribed it all!), taps him with the reflex testing stick thingy, lifts him up, bends and stretches his limbs/back, then asked if we have any uestions/concerns. Finally she writes an action plan of things to check up on, referrals to make, things we've been told to do (eg try swimming) and then she decides how long before she sees us again.
Don't know if that's a lot of waffle or actually any helps0 -

Thats pretty much what his paediatrician did !! This is called a Child Development Clinic and it is a specialist child unit near the hospital he was in. We were told he would be seen by a specialist at some point, but were never told what for, so I really dont actually know what this is !! I assume it is to see if he is meeting milestones and to discuss concerns, but not sure why it will take approx 1 hour !!
Oh well, I will find out on Friday !!The two best things I have done with my life

MM, it may be where reports are sent by the physio and anyone else who sees him. The consultant then looks through the reports, has a good poke at him, asks you a lot of questions and makes a plan for his 'care'. Its a good thing as then everyone is kept up to date with his progress. Take a notepad or something, ask questions and write anything down you want to remember.0
