MM, Amber is ok, a little tiny bit hot (but that may just be sleepy snuggle hot) but still laughing and giggling. Dylan is so cute, those eyes! I think he may take after his daddy with everything you've said about your OH, so maybe the birds and the bees talk early ;)

SM, awww that vid made me smile, I love giggly babies!

    Uhm... forget what else...

Elle i was about to say the swopping weeks would make it hard for childcare but I see you've covered that.

I used to work a Jobshare of mon am tues weds all day and the other person did mon pm thurs frid all day, we used to have an hour handover on the monday I started an hour later (so finished an hour later) on a monday and she started an hour earlier (so finished an hour earlier) so no extra pay.

Thats just what sprang to mind immediately, still thinking about it so might have further thoughts

Whilst I'm here great news about the MRI, when do you see someone offiicial to go over it? Rhys made my OH go gooey yesterday when he saw the jumperoo pic

    Oh thankyou.. :)

Our office hours are 0830 to 1635 and when talking about it previously, management have been a bit funny about how there should always be someone in the office at those times (two other senior colleagues work part-time and come in later than that as they have school age children to drop off to school first). I was thinking working hours of 0830-1245 and 1220-1635 on Wednesday so we get a 25 minute handover and both work 19.25hrs a week, rather than the usual 18.75hrs (half of 37.5hrs which is our company's fulltime). I'll include the idea of 0900-1245 and 1220-1605 too - toss up between them wanting to pay out an extra £10 a week or have the office empty for an hour a week.. methink they'll pay out the extra which is what I'm after so it'll work in my favour ;)

(and if anyone kept up with that, you're fab! :p My head hurts.. :o)

ETA: Rhys has been referred to Notts neurosurgeons with the suggestion that they make the appointment for the same day as we see the kidney specialists again, and we're due to see them in November although don't have an appointment yet.

    SM,

pizza baguettes - part baked baguettes from tesco (4 for 99p), slice in half legnthwise then cut in half, mix ketchup and tomato puree with some mixed herbs, spread it on and top with cheese.
Apples for bobbing and scones for that thing with the string.
Cheap torches and turn the lights out/down.
    Cut out shadow pictures.
    Halloweeny dvd.
Any drink with some food colouring added.
Any cheap'n'easy cupcake with food colouring, you can bake them off and mix up coloured icing for them to drizzle and make a mess with.

    hi all,

sorry i haven't read back yet but will try to (just need to call my folks back home too)

weezl - a few nights ago we were talking routine babies. I was saying that my LO didn't seem to respond/want routines. however, i have now noticed a few things over the past few days:-
    1. she always seems to wake at 6am (even when she has been wake on and off on the hour during the night). i use this time to give her her morning bottle (even though i have to use the bottle during the night to settle her).
    2. she always seems to have a dirty nappy in the morning. i am thinking it's happening somewhere between 6am-8am but i am not 100% sure (as it's not one i can tell she is doing like usual)
    3. for the past few days she has been having a nap in the afternoon at about 3.30pm

i may be clutching at straws, but i was just wondering if this was the start of something and how best to work with it.

she is showing no signs of routine in terms of wanting to go to sleep at night as this still varies greatly.

    xx

ladies how do i do a mini halloween party on a budget? (im full of questions tonight) .. only for 4 kids one being jayden of course x
Hi just lurking from the pregnancy thread and thought i'd lend some ideas my mum used to do.

Cheap jelly made quite watery so its slimey mixed in a few hard boiled peeled eggs (feels like eye balls lol)

Boiled spagetti with some sauce (cheapest tomato or some jelly if you dont want mess but their reaction is great)

If you can get a hand and put it in with some porridge made very watery it gets a laugh too.

    HTH
    Not many ideas for food
    Sorry

Just thought, no idea how old the kids are sorry if their to young.
    Off to lurk again:rolleyes:
