    Hello all,

Seem to have been missing over last few days, hugs to all in trouble of any kind.

Not been very OS really as I think the dreaded CFS is making a comeback, don't seem to have the energy to do more than cook dinner any day, did tidy porch yesterday and made up some beds in spare rooms to-day.

Was up earlier than usual to take DGS2 to school, could sleep now if I stayed still for long....dinner is chicken, beans and steamed potatoes, all ready, chicken is in oven so not much to do later.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs Taplady and Bargainbird

13yo dd birthday presents have just been delivered - some books from me and what I can only guess is the little brother of the Hubble Telescope. Only Mr CaringSharing could possibly think that the best starter telescope for a 13yo should cost 180 smackeroonies and stand four foot high in it's box. btw he's quite poor at the moment so I needn't think that the Child Pittance will be going up any time soon ..... sigh
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Afternoon all!

Have got here at last - couldn't post last night (power cut, 2 hours, completely missed Masterchef:mad:) nor this morning (technical difficulties:mad:).
    (((hugs))) Elona and Bargainbird.
Diva - how did the test drive go?
Jackie - hope your hospital appointment goes well.

Last night was a romantic:rolleyes: candlelit curry dinner, luckily we had the camping stove to finish cooking dinner with. Today will be pork chops and I also want to slow cook a beef stew for tomorrow as I'll be working all day (14 hours:(). Dishwasher has broken down, and bike has a puncture and was booked in for a service today but the shop was closed
Have done some washing and decluttering today and found my stash of C******** cards ready to start writing (no, I won't start just yet, just wanted to know where they were:o).

Right, must go and start cooking.
Have a good evening everyone, (((hugs))) to those in need.

    Afternoon all.

Didn't get online yesterday, as we were out for the day, went to Stratford on Avon. Mr LW bought me a lovely serape from Edinburgh Woollen Mill; it'll be MoneySaving in the longrun, cos I can wear it indoors in the winter as it'll be warmer than my usual shawls, but not look daft as wearing a coat inside would look.:o

But I gather some of my friends here are having a hard time, worrying over loved ones; my best wishes to you all, and hope that things start to look up in the very near future.

I have to admit to having a sofa day today, as yesterday wore me out (in the nicest way, I hasten to add). I have been catching up with my accounts and such like though - we just had the bill for the household insurance, so been working out how to fund that.

But I am finding since they mucked about with my meds that the joint and muscle pain is far more pervasive, and I get tired even more quickly than before. I'm in two minds whether to write to the consultant who did the "mucking about" or if I'd just be wasting my time and precious energy.

I shall stir myself long enough to get some nut loaf (HM) out of the freezer and do some sweet'n'sour rice to go with it for tonight's dins. Then I think a quiet evening bashing trolls (on the PC, don't worry! LOL)

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

<<JackieO - good luck at the hospital, hope you get your booby holders;):D>.

:mad::mad::mad: Grr Hospital phoned almost as I was about to go out the door to leave for there to say they have to change my appointment to next week as there is some sort of crisis in their dept.So I am swinging along as usual :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
If it wasn't for this blasted lyphodema I could get my usual ones on but I have no strength in my right arm, and the darned thing just won't do as I want it to:mad: still at least I am alive and kicking so its another week before I go to the hospital. There's lots worse off than me, still I had a NSD instead, and made a lovely banana custard for my DGD for whn she comes to see me tonight. DGS is enjoying his job at Endamol, but the travelling is quite long about three hours each day.He is hoping for a permanant job at the end of his three week trial so I have my fingers crossed for him.
I'm searching for a recipe for Honey cake, has anyone got an easy one My late Mum used to make it years ago, and I saw in my cupboards that I have quite a bit of honey available so I fancied some.Hope everyone has had a good day ,mid-week already where does the time go to.
    Cheers JackieO x

Maybe you could dictate one for Mr LW to type for you? After you have thought about it and refined it in your head whilst relaxing on your sofa, of course ;)

  • Evening all

I've had a hectic but lovely day at work. I work for a charity which works with 16-25 year olds for a set period of 12 weeks. My current (and first group I've had all on my own) are coming to an end this week. Today they put on a presentation for their friends/family/carers/tutors etc. It was extremely manic trying to get everything ready, and we had a minor technical hitch with the laptop but it all came together at the end!

They are a great bunch of young people (there are 12 of them) and I will miss working with them. Their last day is Friday so I think that may tug at the heart strings! They bought me some thank you presents today, and all of them were extremely thoughful (non-expensive) gifts.

I made a nice easy tea of quesidillas (sp) filled with peppers, cheese, tomato, onion, jalepenos and basil. Served with dollop of sour cream :)

I'm at a bit of loss with what to do tonight, don't want to just watch tv. I may batch cook some basic tomatoey sauce but I've not got that much space in freezer so maybe not.

    Have a good evening
