Before I forget, Harrods Christmas Grotto booking opens on Monday, should've been 22nd but site crashed! Think you need to pay £5 booking fee, which will be credited to your Harrods card to spend on the day of your visit, cards are free and are simply a loyalty card like clubcard from Mr T's! Cause more raised eyebrows though when they fall out of your purse! Not sure if you need to have a card to book, but you can sign up on line for one.

I am sitting here looking out at my chickens playing in the sunshine with not a cloud in the sky.
My DS (2 and a half yrs) and my DD3 (7 months) are playing with cardboard boxes.
I have a couple of pieces of homemade bread topped with lashings of homemade plum jam thinking about my lunch of home grown salad with homemade scotch eggs made from eggs I collected from my brood yesterday.:j
I ask you is there anything more I could want......dont think so.
Hope everyone else has a perfect day like this one.:beer:I MAY HAVE NOTHING.....BUT ITS MY NOTHING0 -

Sounds pretty near perfect - a veg patch and a pair off pigs would top it off for meI'll add this to the OS Daily thread where OSers chat about their OS days.

Morning all.Grey and dull here,so I'm aiming to get lots done ,only me and DS1 around as DH and DS2 have gone off to work today, they've not had anything for about 3 weeks (sigh). This job should last a couple of weeks,so at least its something.
I have to type an estimate for a big extension Dh has been pricing up the last few days, apparently he is one of 4 builders estimating. The owner of the house had over 50 letters from builders as far away as Cumbria when the planning application was in the paper.
I've just read the meters-need to ring our new energy supplier with those later.
I've got pork chops and turkey breast in the fridge, can't decide what to do for tonight.I shall go and get on with my jobs and see if inspiration strikes.
Fishing sounded good N9eav.
Hope BIL is improving BB.

sampainter - Glad your day is perfect
Aussielass - Hope hospital went ok x
Diva - How was the test drive? And have you looked at "Grab a Grant" on here to see if there's any possibility of help towards the advance payment? Just a thought. x
JackieO - Hope hospital visit goes ok and that you'll be pleased with the bras. I usually do mine up at the front and then swivel them round, but of course you can't do that either, it must be infuriating!
mummysaver -at your DD teaching the dolls arts and crafts, bless her heart. How old is she? My girls used to love playing schools with their dolls.
Haribo - Hope the wind has calmed down now!
It still seems to be trying to decide whether or not to be sunny here
The Spanish Pork with Olives was delish, though I didn't have the specified amount of pork as I only decided what to cook after I'd bought the 2 shoulder steaks. Oh and the banana bread is delish too! Not done baking for ages so was pleased. Got tired legs today (from the standing) but it was worth it :j

 Pipkin, so pleased you are feeling up to posting again.0 -
Good morning,
I haven't posted as not a great deal of OS to report. I'm too tired. Ds got up for the day at 4:30am today. He was yawning as I sent him to school - I can imagine his teacher wondering what time I am allowing him to stay up until at night. 7:30pm is the answer!
I have some ironing to do today, and I want to make some scotch pancakes, and then I'm going back to bed for an hour before I pick his lordship up. Oh, and to add insult to injury, I had a fasting blood test this morning, and couldn't even have a cuppa when the little pest woke me up.
Bargainbird I hope your BIL is improving and Elona sorry to hear of your loss.
Take care all of you, and if anyone thinks they can rehome a non sleeping 4 year old, give me a shout.....0 -
Haribo - Hope the wind has calmed down now!
.depends if you're talking about the stormy weather or my husband's dicky tummy.
Anyway...both have returned to normal.
Too wet to finish painting the chicken run today so I'm in the office chasing late payers. I appear to be quite scary as 2 have paid already with just one [STRIKE]threatening [/STRIKE]nice reminder.
Swished and swiped before I came in this morning and hung a load of washing on the pulley. Assembled a one person shepherd's pie from last night's leftover lamb (we were all greedy and had seconds) That will go in the freezer for a hotch potch night.
HM fish and chips tonight and I'm trying a new recipe for mushy peas. I love the tinned ones but can't bear to give that much processed stuff to the girls.
Also making veg soup for tommorrow. That will be tea with a pud if it's just us or if FIL is joining us I have promised him a steak and kidney pie in return for picking up some freecycle computer bits for OH.
Better go and scare some more clients.
Still thinking of you and yours Bargainbird.
Hope the hospital appt went well Aussie. x
Good luck at the hospital Jackie. x
Mummysaver... Dtwin2 plays schools everyday and she is fearsome to her "pupils. Yesterday she put the dog in detention for not doing her homework. :rotfl:
Sampainter...That sounds lovely.
Hope you get some sleep soon Cranky. I remember it well. xxx
Take care all

Thanks for all your thoughts, no change with BIL, his swelling still has not gone down since the accident. DH is quite upset about seeing him like that, but trying to staying positive.

Tea tonight HM Steak M'room and stilton pie with mash.

afternoon!
have had a busy mornign cleaning at Mums, just had lunch and am now having a sit down, earlier I had a long phonecall with my friend from work who told me she has just found out that she's got bladder cancer and has to have her bladder removed. Was a huge shock to everyone including her specialist who told her he was pretty sure everything was ok after her biopsy. We are just praying now that a scan shows it hasn't spread.
JackieO - good luck at the hospital, hope you get your booby holders;):D
quiet here atm - the builders are having lunch after a very noisy morning removing the render from the top half of the house so DH is trying to have a nap as he was up for work at 1.30am!
Sampainter - sounds like a lovely morning!
thats it for now, see you later xDo what you love :happyhear0
