  • I have a BT landline & am considering BT broadband. Do you think they would offer me a phone and broadband deal?

I make my calls via 18185 & Primus at the moment.
  • I'm looking at going to BT from aol as soon as I can leave aol and they do have some deals online

That's a load of rubbish anyway, the ISPs that get the highest ratings tend to be quite a bit more expensive. Compare Zen to Tiscali for example. To get 50GB monthly download you have to pay £30 a month with ZEN even though it wins lots of awards.

...which is probably why they win all the awards they do. They price their products more realistically, which means they can plough the money back into their network and support services.

defo would not recommend tiscali - check out their customer reviews... not the best!

for overall performance, reliability and price I would recommend 02 - I was wondering if to go with them or BT when I got my BT line but I am saving a lot more and I am getting a better service too.

I've got an apple macbook pro and it works perfectly

soooo happy to be with them - I'm paying £9 odd for upto 16MB and I also got £50 cashback for doing so on topcashback.co.uk (it's currently being offered for £75).

i got my BT line installed on Monday with the free installation offer, then signed on O2 BB which is due to be up and running on Monday, O2 have text and emailed every step of the way, and their reviews were very good so I am going to stick with them, also tracked through Topcashback which i should hopefully get the cash in November. so far am happy .... will come back go give a progress report.... check their website to make the best choice, I believe I have!!!

I've been live with O2 for just over a week now, having moved from UTV Internet. So far all I can report are good things, far better speed, reliability, throughput, generally first class. There were a couple of issues as I was on a static IP address previously, but quickly resolved and the wireless box seems to provide a strong signal too.

    Hello to another Norn Ironer!
Where I live (NArds area) I can only get BT or O2.seems BT are'nt really bothered about upgrading their exchanges to LLU over here.

It is not BT who upgrade to LLU. It is up to companies like Sky to choose which exchange they want to put their own equipment into, BT then accomodate them. It is an economic decision of the ISPs.

Not over here it is'nt.Sky have no engineers over here apart from contractors (Finlay Communications are the main one) so all the work done by BT are very slack on allowing other ISP's or they'd loose the monopoly.
Sky BBand & Talk Talk want to expand (I used to work for Sky,both as an engineer & in their BBand Tier 2/TSG) over here but BT are dragging their heels.I know loads of people who want rid of BT but cant get anything else apart from off-net services, wireless BBands a non starter too!
