Did not recieve so contacted evans who said the item had not been delivered by the courier and have now been returned to the warehouse so I cannot have them!!! A refund will be with me within 10 days at which point they will have had my money for almost three weeks arrrgggghhhh0

I have just had my delivery driver knock at my door and he has gone out of his way to tell me that an order i placed has been stolen. The parcel came to the couriers slashed open and an empty box was inside. He was a bit annoyed as it could make it look like it was him but he said they have to have police checks to get the job but then the warehouse is full of forigen workers who don't get checked and prob shouldn't be working over here.
It was really nice of him to tell me because as far as evans are concerned it has been dispatched and therefore i have it. I have rang them and they haven't a clue! Surely they can see that i haven't signed for it and that they didn't deliver it to me. Fingers crossed i get a refund as the item is now out of stock. It is sort of my word against evans now tho, there is def room for improvement in their service.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
so without any proof you have come to the conclusion that it was probably foreign workers -unbelievable!!0

Don't shoot the messenger i was only saying what the courier told me. It could have been anyone working for that company it doesn't matter who but i shouldn't have to pay for an item that was stolen.
He said that stuff is stolen all the time and some polish workers have been sacked because they were caught stealing but most goes un noticed, because it says on the details what is in the packet it is easy for them to choose what to steal so they are going to change the packaging to plain black without any details other than the persons address.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
sounds to me like you accepted his explanation without question ,showing your own prejudice0

Cherrypacker you seem more concerned about some wording Louby used about someone neither of you know rather than the fact that she's been the victim of a crime. Do you have any useful suggestions to help her recover either her property or her money or are you just looking for a fight?
Louby I would keep on at Evans and if the people on the Customer Services aren't very helpful don't be afraid to kick it up the chain to the senior levels. They should be instigating a full investigation as one stolen parcel is one too many.0 -
i was concerned about her use of words ,i have reread what she wrote and while i can appreciate her distress at being told her parcel contents have been stolen,i still think her comments about foreign workers were unfair.as you point out no-one, not even delivery driver, knows what happened so perhaps it is unwise to speculate.
i suggest she takes the matter up with evans0 -
Just wondering if anyone got there money back yet?? Mine was supposed to be released today (checked with my debit card they said the 7th it would automatically be released) but nothing still, not happy at all :mad:0
