As for the Cardiff debate.....
My OH lives in Rhymney, 30 seconds from train station.
Cardiff is less than an hour and less than £5 return (you can't park in Cardiff for that & it can take far longer to drive to or through Cardiff).
Hop on train, great day/night out hop on train back, great local pub in Rhymney, 10 minutes from the Beacons, house prices in Blaenau Gwent cheapest in UK.
All the benefits, none of the (riduculous) costs....it works for me!0 -
