My suggestion would have been sausage casserole!
I found it really helps being in the challenges- will look out for you! You're right about feeling like you're talking to yourself in the diaries sometimes but like you I think sometimes it helps just to put it down. Sometimes as I'm writing I will suddenly realise what is behind a behaviour or think of a solution to a problem.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Hi Missymoo, just thought I'd read your diary as you popped over to mine earlier this week and left some kind words of support.
It sounds as if you are well organised and doing everything to cut out the "excess fat" in the budget.
Don'y know if you've read mine in last day or two but OH got the job! she starts on 12th October.

hi chris, just popped over to your diary and left you a message, so glad everything is finally going right for you and your OH.
Well I haven't posted all day as have been out and about, but I really haven't spent that much money.
I went over to see my nan and grandad and got a belated birthday card with £15 in which I wasn't expecting!!! and lunch
well I was a bit naughty and sort of deliberately went around there at lunch time and did the whole "oooh is it lunch time, well of course I'd love a sandwich thanks nan" thing :rotfl:
Then I went into town and met my mum, I got free parking and my mum paid for afternoon tea.... and I found my wedding dress, well one of them.... (long story)...and my mum paid for it.... bonus!!!! So I bought us cokes... which was a bit steep at £3 but it was to celebrate my wedding dress.
Then I went to wilkinsons to look for some onion starters, but they'd all sold out (b*gger) but I did get some majorly cheap vaseline for a cheap eyemake up remover and a new half price toothbrush.
I then went to my dads and had a chinese and picked loads of blackberries so going to make jam tomorrow, yum yum. Need to buy some jam sugar though . oh and my dad changed my euros for me so thats £60 to go back into the wedding savings fund
So total spends today £5 on petrol, £6 on chinese, £1 on vaseline etc and £3... so I spent a total of £15 but I got £15 in birthday money from my nan and grandad so technically I didn't spend any money... I wouldn't go as far as saying it was a no spend day but almost as good.
I really feel like I have turned a corner, I usually would have spent a fortune, one in wilkinsons as I can't help but buy toiletries even though I have hundreds.... and I can't help but buy any sort of clothes or shoes for that matter... but I didn't!!! I'm so pleased. I'm really hoping that this more frugal Missy is here to stay.
I haven't been shopping yet and looking at what I have in the fridge I think I can put it off for atleast another week as long as I can make some bread. I tried making some this morning, but it didn't rise so I left it. Haven't checked on it yet, it's probably the size of a house  might just go and do that in a sec. Also reboiled my jam this morning, but it still hasn't set, how very annoying!!!
Anyways speak soon sorry for the monsterous post.

here's my old stylee bit. Just checked my bread and think I have managed to save it, have just put it in the oven.... have no idea how it's going to taste, as I haven't made bread from scratch since I was at school, and this was a really cheap easy recipe..... hmmmmm... fingers crossed it's nice as I could really do with cheap bread at the moment. Think my nan and grandad might be coming over tomorrow and have promised them brunch. Which I can't really afford, but I have bacon in the freezer which I can get out and hopefully my bread will be edible

I can't believe how late it is and how tired I have been all week, just goes to show what one lay in can do for you.
Well can't do much of a lay in tomorrow as I need to clear up before nan and grandad come round
hmm my bread isn't rising in the oven very much, oh dear0 -
good morning,
crikey it's early to be up especially for a weekend, but I just woke up so there's not much I can do about it.
Jobs for today, do some washing on a quick wash and hang outside, clean the bathrooms, clean the kitchen, I'm sure there's millions more but I can't really think of anything.
Really need to list some stuff on ebay but haven't got the faintest idea how to..... any ideas??? x0 -
ok I'm back, have cleaned the kitchen and the cooker  which took some considerable time!!!! I've also cleaned the bathrooms and dusted and I've put some washing out but haven't got around to hanging it yet . ooh and my jam did finally set and I've got some bread rising as we speak, I think I'm finally getting a bit organised... Don't know if my nan and grandad are coming over or not but have had to buy some milk just in case  really wanted today to be another no spend day but nevermind.
Hmmm now what else today, can't really make any more payments until I get paid on wednesday and I know what I'm doing and where my money is at, oooh do need to change my minimum payment on my cahoot loan though, will do that.
oops got to go nan has just called and they are coming round.... b*gger.
speak soon

Congratulations on your frugal day yesterday- you must be really excited about the dress!
Sounds like you've been a good fly-lady this morning! Hope you're having a good day2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
hey jellie thank you for your message, I can't belive how good I was with cleaning the whole house, and you know it didn't take that long to do it all, about 2 hours maximum which isn't bad going! Am now a bit lost as to what to do with my afternoon now, everythings been done!! Might have to have a look around the threads.0

You are doing sooooo well and only in one week isnt it??:D.X0

thank you beat the debt, I'm amazed myself at how much I have thrown myself into it.. If only I could have so much enthusiasm in looking after myself I would be win win.
But next week is a new week, and not one piece of chocolate...... OR A BISCUIT (major downfall as these are free at work) will pass my lips, Have to lose a stone asap, none of my clothes fit and I feel bleugh!!. And in theory as I am not allowing myself to buy any food that's not in the cupboards should not be at all difficult...... but we'll see.
So goals for next week along with paying off as much as I possibly can and not going over my budget, are
to not eat any junk AT ALL
to exercise atleast 3 times next week (and actually put some effort into it and not just watch Jeremy Kyle whilst pedalling very slowly on the bike!!)
to make my own healthy food and take to work
to eat a healthy dinner (cake is not healthy!!!)
to keep ontop of the tidying
to be super frugal when driving even when I'm cross
Shouldn't be too hard.... I hope!!!
