    Hi Missymoo,

I had a mad idea today about paying off debt and thought that I must tell Missymoo!:D.

Instead of looking at your debt as loads of fugures, do the following:

Get some graph paper and draw a picture of something you like, like a cake (yum yum) with each square representing £1, £5, £10 or whatever. Then, when you pay off another £1 / £5 / £10, colour in a square. This way, you can see yourself getting nearer your goal and then go out and buy a real cake when the debt cake is gone...

Yes, I know it's mad but I think it would help people visualise their debt and the progress made not what has yetto be done, i.e. turning a negative into a positive :T

Do I need to get out more? :rotfl:

hypno does that - each square = £50

My post went along the lines of, I'm sorry I have been missing in action for some time, but OH was home and I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him, he's gone back now though and I miss him already!!!!

Well debtbusting and saving arent going too badly at the moment, have managed to pay off £200 (before interest) off of my loan which is by far the most I've ever paid off, which is good, but I'm only left with £44 this month, but am !!!!!!ed if I am going to go over it, I still need to get petrol but I should be ok, as long as I don't spend on anything I don't need, including lunch, so lunch will be cheese sandwiches!!

Have had a lovely time with OH we went and got all of our christmas decs at the weekend, this was more out of necessity more than anything else, as OH's ex had taken it all but we hadn't realised until we went in the loft!!! The decs are lovely, but it has left the house budget rather tight so we are going to be eating out of the freezer and the cupboards, fortunately I have a lot stocked up, we will have to buy a few things like milk and bread if mine wont rise but I don't want to spend any more than a tenner, that is my budget and I'm sticking to it.

Me and OH have had a lovely time together not doing a lot, just watching films and playing board games, not really spending money like we used to!!! We're learning!!

Work is still rubbish was going to work late tonight but was up at 4ish with OH and am knackered so am all snuggled on the sofa. Might have to work late tomorow though, yuk. bring on 27 Nov, I so can not wait to change departments!!

Have been doing a lot of reading in my new gardening book, have learnt a lot and have measured up the garden and have got about 25sq metres to play with, which is pretty good going, I would really like to keep us in veggies for quite some time if not for always, but that is more of a project in the making than money saving right now.

I love your idea Chrisblue, think I might start one this evening, now where is one of my lovely notepads!!!???

Please post and let nme know how you've all been doing, I've missed chatting.

    xx

Hi Missy, Glad you had a lovely time with OH. I'm good, doing my daily clicks and saving in my pig so I don't have a carp Jan this year, which is my short term goal.

Had an interview today for another job. Hope I get it as mine has been hard going for ages and me and the boss really dont get on!

Well done on the Moneysaving and XXX

    How is everyone?

Work is still rubbish but it is a NSD today so it's all good.

Have really done a lot of work so far today, my mind keeps drifting to my veggie patch and thoughts of cooking etc, must concentrate more lol.
