I'm tempted to try it with a heated twin tank, but it's a lucas pump on ours, so I'm still undecided.
Looking, there's both good and bad, even the links from the Landcruiser site to the twin tank site don't seem 100% on it.0 -
I'm sure you'll have seen this before, but this is where it says the twin tanks possible on the voyager http://www.biomotors.co.uk/CarsVans.html
Lucas just seems a no no in general. Is there any way round it? Same car/engine with a bosch pump perhaps thats interchangeable?0 -

There was a Bosch pump fitted to some peugeot 106, 1.5d, but they're few and far between. They seem to go for £100 or so, then I need the matching injectors.
The biggest thing putting me off is finding any info on them, particuarly how to time them up. I can find the info on the Lucas pump, and the setting is 12 degree btc, but can't find the same on the bosch unit, or how to set them up. It's a nice little car, and used daily, so I don't want to destroy it.0 -
Done a search on ebay for wvo or something similar a day or 2 ago and saw someone selling the bosch pump and injectors for the pug. £75 opening bid, £100 BIN.
Ad says something has been removed so it doesnt need coded or something?
Item number: 250775520713
That aside, filled up today again, 323 miles for 36 litres. Nearing 41 MPG. Damn sight better than the 34 MPH last fill.0 -
It went for £77, did you bid?
Great mpg improvement over your first batch, how's it comparing to dino?0 -
Hi all, I need some advice again! Another problem has presented itself on my Pug 406 1.9 TD. It is struggling to start now, most noticeably when it has been standing overnight, but also at other times. The engine starts to turn, but doesn't actually fire, and I generally need to keep the key physically turned in the ignition a good 3/4 times before it very reluctantly fires, it's fine when it is eventually running. With my limited knowledge I'm guessing it could be one of these problems:
Starter motor
Solenoid
Spark plugs
Glow plugs
Fuel filter
Alternator
Alternator belt
..or something else!
Is there anything I can do to narrow the search down?
Thanks in advance0 -

Starter motor Not if its turning over ok
Solenoid As above
Spark plugs ITS A DIESEL,IT DON'T HAVE SPARKS!
Fuel filter Maybe,try changing it.
Alternator Doubt it
Alternator belt Again, doubt it.
..or something else!
Is there anything I can do to narrow the search down?

Could be glow plugs .......
When you say it turns over, does it spin freely, or is it slow and sluggish?˙ʇuıɹdllɐɯs ǝɥʇ pɐǝɹ sʎɐʍlɐ

Forgot to put glow plugs! Yes, it's very slow and sluggish, to the point where you may give up trying to start it. The glow plug light still comes on brightly and goes out in an acceptable time, I've tested the battery, that is fine. I changed the fuel filter just under a year and 7000 miles ago.0

If its slow and sluggish, then you need to check the electrical connections to the starter motor, make sure they are secure with good contact and check the engine earth strap.
You can try starting it with it connected up to another car, ie, in a jump start situation,if it truns over quickly, and starts fine, then you know your battery is on its way out,so would need looking at, as well as checking the alternator out.
Change your filter anyway, its a cheap fix,and it can't do any harm.˙ʇuıɹdllɐɯs ǝɥʇ pɐǝɹ sʎɐʍlɐ
