I thought it really strange that Nationwide didn't get its own number! Oh well.

Sorry oversight - Nationwide going in now - with 10,000 votes normally it should make little difference to the end result.

Well, it was very :naughty: of you to miss it out though :)

I was surprised that the Coventry Building Society got listed though: it's one of the regional societies that has little presence outside its home area, AFAIK.
  • I'm with Halifax for my current account (it's technically a student account but it stays interest free for the year after graduation) and will probably stay with them for a good few years as I doubt my first job (when I get it) will pay enough for me to move to First Direct!

Unless of course the best current account for my income changes by then, or I don't have a job by next July, in which case it's on to whichever the top graduate account is...

  • 25. Natwest.
  • There's no option for those of us who hold more than one current account? I actually hold a current account with 3 places. I've banked with one for years still have most of my direct debits go out from there but my wages are paid into another account because they had a good overdraft facility and then I pay them across to another account I opened because of the bonuses it gives me. I circulate money between the 3. And I was actually thinking of opening another one as they are offering £100 to new customers. So which one should I put? You might say it's as easy as which one your wages get paid into but I've even changed that around alot lately. Maybe it should be the one I've been with the longest? In which case HSBC wins.

I don't have any money, Gordon Brown took all of it.

I think you are just being awkward - it wasn't a difficult question really was it?
  • It was more of a 'thinking out loud' post. I wasn't really expecting a big debate. ;)
