I've got a very wide foot so shoes are always a pain for me..pun intended too!
Someone else suggested the MBT but the only ones we found were upwards of £160  so I've some earnest web-hunting ahead of me.
Could anyone suggest a brand comparable to Earth, Fitflop etc that also does mens up to size 13..we breed 'em big in our family
with several of the Offspring's cousins around that shoe size. Makes shopping for socks a pain too....

AND.......... my mukluks were here when I got home tonight (got them from Shudoo) - love them, just need to wear them and get myself all toned!!! I'm all set for winter now, work and weekends...
Re the Chinese site that we wiped off ......... thinking, Ugg boots, Emus and most makes, are all now made in China, which is ironic as the word 'ugg' means sheepskin boot made in .................. Australia.. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry, I hadn't realised your original post was a couple of weeks old.
I hope that your Baileys are genuine, but I asked about that site myself reently (because of the excellent prices) and was asked to delete the link because they sold fakes.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I have just bought a pair of Fiflop Mukluk boots in Black (£125) did a lot of searching but that's the price everywhere it seems. I had some birthday cash left over!;)
They are beautifully comfy and are designed to be worn without socks etc and they feel gorgeous. I am normally a Size 6 but they were really loose and I therefore bought a 5. It says they give slightly once they find the shape of your feet.
As others have said, they look best with skinny jeans or leggings. I have just tried on every pair of trousers/leggings I own and there's one pair of jeans which are just slim enough and a pair of leggings. I am off out tomorrow to find some alternatives.0 -
I noticed when I was in the other day that Barratt had some similar styles to these Uggs - so if you aren't label conscious
they might be suitable - but I dare say they won't last as long, you never know though.
I wear my MBT's throughout the winter unless it's deep snow or really icy, in which case I don't go out - can't risk another break . However MBT's aren't the solution when you want to wear a skirt or something dressy, so I've just got thesehttp://www.schuh.co.uk/womens-black-hush-puppies-vivianna/1406167020/ and I love them - not that I have a shoe fetish you understand
and being HPs they are really comfortable.

I wear a top which is uniform with jeans - as they are practical for when in and out of workshop. But alot of my day I am sat at desk in office - with cold draught..... I also need to be able to tuck straight leg jeans in boots etc - so need easy access!!
These look like just the things for you:

I didn't buy from that site - thank goodness. But as said, all the Uggs etc are made in China - making a hypocracy of the meaning of ugg!
Meanwhile, my Baileys are scrummy and comfy ..Genie

Meanwhile - try Asda Jeggings -I find them to be brilliant. Jeans no, leggings no, cross between. Comfy and fit as snug as a bug in any length of boot.I put a link on the M & S Skinny jeans thread re these.

They look quite promising but have the Mukluks now - which are gorgeous but have not actually them worn as such yet. I'm planning to road test them this weekend...Genie

Curious........
Re the not wearing socks idea. Yes, it is brilliant and have done that with Emu's etc. But how about if your foot gets sweaty? You pay alot for your gorgeous boots and then end up stinking them out......
I have a favourite pair of kangaroos that have worn through alot of the summer, occasionally chuck them in the machine for a wash, but they did get smelly... My sister suggested bicarbonate of soda - it gets rid of the smell of sick... anyway, I tried a sprinkle of it in the shoes and it did work, even on the hottest and longest days!! But I am not sure I want to put bicarb in my lovely boots... but how do you keep them fresh if you don't wear socks??Genie
