  • Margaret - you started this thread - I am obsessed with comfort (and warmth in the winter) I get all excited over mukky boots or something and others rave about shoes and I get no more feedback..... :o

I've looked at a couple of sites and vaguely fainted at the prices...... why are these companies getting away with charging the earth??

Ugg means sheepskin boot made in Australia - all ugg boots of any brand are now made in China and you pay ridiculous prices for them! A few years back my cousin sent me some ugg boots (from Australia) - they were not very designer-ish - but they were comfy and warm and cost twenty Australian dollars...

But I like the designs of Emu and these mukky lukky ones - but really resent paying stupid prices..... and I can't find any that I can tuck my jeans into - side opening would be easier... any ideas?

    Moaning over........ ;)

I really fancy a pair of fit flop boots for winter as I'll be doing a fair bit of walking this winter - can anyone tell me if they are suitable for wearing in the rain or not?

I have seen them in a local shop, that also sells the fit flops. They look like they would withstand light rain, but I am not sure they would stand up to bad winter weather - I wouldn't choose them for the school run. Now if they did fit flop wellies!!

Are they the mukluk boots? I like the look of them, but they are £125...

Hi Margaret, I would definately recommend fit flops! I have lived in them for 4 months and cannot fault them! I do understand the price is steep, i was fortunate enough to have enough boots advantage points so used those to purchase a pair. But looking back seeing how comfortable they are and how much they have helped me aches and pains, and posture, i would have paid £36 for them. I have just ordered the fit flops mukluk boots that are £125! I managed to get a voucher code for sweatybetty.com so got 25% off so they were £100 which is bad enough!!, I will try dig out the code if you want as they do normal fit flops too?

They seem to be £125 wherever you look........ did you order your normal size or do you need to order a bigger size to accommodate socks in winter??

I'm very close to giving in and ordering some but am desperate for some more info.... help me... :o:D

Hi, has anyone bought these - and are they any good? I've been thinking of investing in a pair, but they are quite expensive for flip flops! Is there anywhere you can buy them cheaper? I've seen them locally for £35.

    Thanks

    How about these ones http://www.lovethoseshoes.com/sale.asp?sSearch=&sSize=8.5&iBrand=6&iStyle=&iGender=2&sColour=&iPriceBand=1

    Anyone tried them ?

Or these Earth Exer-fit V Forest Sandal http://www.lovethoseshoes.com/sale.asp?sSearch=&sSize=7.5&iBrand=6&iStyle=&iGender=2&sColour=&iPriceBand=1 Not many sizes left in them though

No I haven't - I've got quite excited (I don't have a life :o) regarding the mukluk boots but scared to order any due to the price and lack of info - was hoping for some advice...

I just bought a pair and was amazed at how lightweight they are :j. Having bought them at the end of summer I'll have to wait until next year to really form an opinionl

I'm also a big fan of MBT's,which also tone legs and bum ;). I bought a pair and lived in them for over four years and they're still showing no sign of wear. They are expensive, but I bought a second pair from Amazon Marketplace for nearly half the price! The soles are so thick that I never feel the cold striking up through them in the winter :T. I've got spinal injuries and arthritis and do feel shoes with this sort of footbed help a lot.
