Express Delivery Rip Off

Have you paid extra for postage to ensure express delivery and not recieved the goods or they are not delivered on time. I have decided to name and shame and at the same time warn others of the dirty deeds of some of these companies.

SVP.CO.UK suppliers of blank DVDS, CDS etc. I paid £4.99 1-2 day delivery on the 23 March and still no sign of the goods.

https://www.tesco.com/flowers Flower delivery service. 3 days late after promising next day delivery on Flowers.

Reporting back with reference to my previous post concerning SVP.CO.UK. Today I left a note for the delivery driver to leave the parcel and at the same time giving him permission to do so at my risk. He did'nt and now the company have refused to deliver it again and suggest I travel 14 miles to collect it dispite having paid express delivery. I have asked for a full refund.

    Of course he didn't.

What would you have done if you had returned home and found the goods were not waiting for you. I doubt it would have been a shrug of the shoulders and a comment of "ah well, they got nicked, that was the risk I took".

Anyway 14 miles is nothing. I have to travel 70 miles when Parcelforce fail to deliver.

    PMM :P

I have just had a phone call from the company I paid for the goods plus express delivery, they were brilliant and very unhappy with the attitude of the delivery company, you don't work for them do you? ;D

The goods are coming via another courier who is prepared to leave it in the secure area as requested.

As SVP pointed out to me that their company is as good as the delivery. I accept that, and I will continue to to business with them as on this occasion it was not directly their fault and because they will be using another courier I am happy with the result.

Can't you be serious for one moment, love it :D

Parcelforce will redeliver to your local post office (sorry, Post OfficeTM ::) ) if you phone them to arrange it. There is a 50p charge but I expect it's cheaper than travelling 70 miles...

You are making the assumption that they won't lose the item in transit. They did last time. And then blamed me for using this service.....

I was really surprised about you having trouble with SVP when I started reading this thread as their delivery to me has always been superfast & reliable. Glad they sorted it out for you though :)

I don't generally pay for any fast deliveries as I've found unless it is a dire emergency (when I would nip to the shops myself to get something), the normal delivery is usually just as good :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
