The freezer took ages - just found the suggestion about hairdryer so will use that next time. Found loads of little pots of unidentified bits  - looks like lots of Freezer Surprise meals this week (money saving!). Just had carrot soup from one pot (easy to identify) for lunch and pretty sure there is roast beef in gravy in the one defrosting for evening meal.

Can't believe I've managed to keep up AND have done my dailies (OK, so that list is very short!)

Everyone else sounds like they are really flying. Thanks for making me welcome.

rosepink- no the "disabled gingerbread man" didn't have a walking stick- his leg nroke off as i got him off the tray- so it was like fate i just had to eat him :rotfl:
yes i'm fine with dd being at school all day- at the mo-don't think it will hit me for a few days- time is just flying by today cos i've been so busy.

list- wondering if i'm allowed my star or not
i've done levels 1,2,3 but didn't defrost the freezer as its packed full, and it's too warm here to leave it all out for an hour while it defrosts- instead though i have spring cleaned a kitchen drawer and cupboard- hope that counts ;)

going to do an hour of paid work then it's time to collect them from school- where has today gone??????

oh yeah and washing machine has packed up- had it 12 years and repaired it a few times now, so i think we'll have to give in this time and get a new one- more money

see you all in the morning

  • Have hoovered, and tried to clean the hoover filter. I noticed just before the hoover stopped working this time that the air coming out of it was extremely hot so I think my theory is correct - it's overheating which is why it stops after a certain length of time. Filter needed emptying so maybe that might help  It's in soaking now as it's very filthy.

I've also attempted to mend the laptop - last night we noticed that the bit that holds the screen on to the keyboard was broken on one side and the screen keeps wanting to flop - it's still a bit dodgy but I found a tiny screw on the floor and it seems to go into the screen to hold all the layers together on that corner so at least the screen won't come apart even if if falls off
    • clear the top of the TV,
    • hoover bathroom,

    MY OWN LIST

[STRIKE]Get curtains ready to put up tonight[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
    [/STRIKE]Ring carpet fitter
    Ring plasterer

    WEEKLY LIST

Finally finish tidying the back bedroom ready for looming parents visit
    Fit all curtains
    Start tiling the kitchen
    Gardening

I did the curtains a lot quicker than expected. I was going to iron them to make sure they looked nice when they went up but I have decided that is just a waste of time. They are all hanging over the banister and chairs and if the creases don't drop out now then they will when they are put back up. Haven't put the hooks back in but I can do that when OH puts the rails up.

Mudders glad your DS has seen the doc

Elly - you sound in need of a hug sweetie

Wilf and Pooh - sending you strength to deal with your OH and a hug each

Piggers I hope your DS can sort through his emotions, he is so young to have so much complication and the young Mums too. I'm sure you'll be there to support them all.
