Soappie - sending you a bit of grip

Thanks Dusty - and others for the hugs. Kitchen halfway done. I've decided that my bedroom is probably giving out bad feng shui because it's a right mess. So, I ought to sort it out this afternoon - maybe that'll get rid of the stagnation vibes...

• Thanks rose and AnW's Mum for the freezer advice, I don't think it's too bad so I'll give it a go!

The oven shelves are soaking in the bath with wash powder and hot water and the oven walls are being degreased with a paste of this too. Here's hoping! Then just need to work out how to clean the element and ceiling of the oven - v.akward indeed!!

Managed to degrease the oven floor in this way - still waiting to see if it works on the walls and fan section, but the grill element (single oven) is another matter. Any wise ladies have any tips??

• Phew have managed to declutter DH to work! Before he left, I've washed up, done kitcheny things, and have helped DH to unload the new (to us) freezer from the truck and install it in the hall outside our front door. While I was outside I also emptied the bin and gave DH some recycling to get rid of for me! :T

Afternoon lovelies, had busy weekend what with working Sat morning, then paint and carpet shopping in the afternoon. Yesterday was spent sanding, washing and painting woodwork in hall, stairs and landing. 7 blasted doors I had to paint!! Not a happy bunny and my elbow is now killing me, but all the paintwork is done so can start on the emulsion tonight if DH and myself drum up the enthusiam/stamina after a day at work.

BUT - drum roll please:

To be fair I had to clean the kitchen from top to bottom as the dust from sanding gets everywhere - so in fact all the rooms need doing, but I doubt I'll manage all five stars.

AND:
Whilst sorting and cleaning the freezer yesterday I got out a lamb shoulder and that is in the slow cooker as we speak with potatoes, carrots, onions, stock and mint, so should be lovely when we stop painting tonight.

Hugs and get well vibes to all that need them, seen something about Valli and a burn (?), mudbaths son (?), god I am carp at remembering!!

Oh how I wish I could do that. DH has decided to go in the bath for a long soak. He hasn't left the house for a week now and avoids visitors. He is still really depressed.

Im going to try both my freezers tonight too..... I think it would be a wiser way to spend my time. Both freezers are full and I still managed to spend £75 in Mr T on Saturday  ..... Me thinks I am not mealplanning properly, well AT ALL in fact.

Plus I can sort it out and make room for some Christmas baking/cooking :D

If you have made a paste for the walls - isnt there anyway you can spread this over the ceiling?? Or use some NEAT Stardrops - but not a lot, and its a good degreaser so should help take it off. Then wash it off the roof. Other than that I dont really know.

Plus, if your oven is slightly warm, it makes it easier to clean... HTH xx

I had a rather extended HHC and managed to do my ironing and mend a hem on a pair of trousers. All I have to do is OHs ironing but I am having lunch first and will sort out the curtains. Hopefully I can get his ironing done too but I think I may run out of time.

Hugs, that's really hard on you both. Could you intice him outside even if just for a drive? It's a good sign that he's having a bath, he will feel a bit better after that. He really needs to try to go outside in while it's still sunny, a drive to a sunny viewpoint might be helpful? xx

I'm going to try to hoover now, it might not take half an hour, but HHC@1:20
