  • I don't know if I should be a blue newbie again? It's been almost a year since I was around regularly but I need the encouragement! My four kids are messy enough but my hubby is off work unwell right now and adding to the mess. I WILL get on top of it ;)

re Sunday dinner in Valli Towers it's a moveable feast usually depending on football. If I am cheering on the sidelines I can't do a dinner and, as DS is starving when we get back, I might pop a casserole in with jacket spuds which can be left while we're out and we walk in to (and on cold damp days VERYwelcoming it is, too)
Today we have had roast chicken, mashed pots, new pots, yorkshires (but I buy ready made as my oven can't get hot enough for batter rising) green beans and HOME GROWN CABBAGE WHAT I GROWED and gravy.

Toffee cake to follow in honour of our birthdays...

I find it interesting reading about other people's Sunday dinners. Am I the only one who does a proper roast on a Sunday?

Nope, we have a roast 9 weeks out of 10 although not always at lunch time. Chicken today, and very nice it was too.
