    Hi:j
    <snip>
    Still, really pleased with my first week as a Flylady - it will be a while before I get to 5 stars a week, but I WILL get there!

    Thanks for your support this week.

    J

    Well done, Jassa....:T

    It's the end of my first full week, too, and I only managed two stars, but I've done loads of bits and pieces from the other lists, too, plus two HHCs, and the difference it's made to the house is enormous. (Even DD noticed!).

    I think the thing that helps me is the focus. I used to be runing around doing something in (say) the kitchen, and then see something in the sitting room which needed doing, so break off, and then not go back to what I was doing etc etc.

    And although you do get *some* things done that way, you never really tackle the difficult, grotty stuff; or finish a whole room so you can stand back and admire it. In fact sometimes I used spend all day thrashing around and have almost nothing to show for it.

    It just gets overwhelming, because you can't ever finish that way.

    Now I can think: "Nope! Bathroom will be tomorrow!", and stick to what I'm doing with a clear conscience.

    So thanks for having me along with you all this week, Ladies, and I hope to be back in touch with you all next week. I'll keep checking in from time to time, too, this weekend.

    Zoe
    - I hope things went well.
    Happy Birthday and Happy Holiday to all those celebrating or travelling
    And hugs for anyone else who is poorly or sad.

    New back windows in and I could swear I feel the difference already. Lots of dust though so kitchen has been thoroughly cleaned. The man has been to measure for blinds. Clean washing put away and bathroom S&Sed.
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    you are reminding me of one of my favourite jokes, to which the tagline is
    Nice t*ts - now where do you want these blinds?

    ETA see Rosey has a mucky mind too. DS has been telling me about some caper in science which resulted in the teacher being passed a hot wire to hold and he used a naughty word. Shall save that one for parents evening! I am sure it was just a slip of the tongue.

    Am much amused as my mum found a 'permit to be out of school at lunchtime slip'. This has to be filled in by parents. DS filled it in, forged my signature (very badly) and included a friends mobile number as a contact one.
    I phoned the school and told them that I do NOT give him permission and can they note this in the book. Then I told him.:rotfl:
    Apparently kids have been collecting the slips then returning them signed within the hour:rolleyes::rolleyes: and adding their numbers - so the office have been calling students IN CLASS

    He will have to 'go over the wall' like I did. Has the child NO initiative?

    Rosey you can't start a fight with Jinky cos she is in God's own county visiting DAZCO

    WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    He admitted more or less everything and acepted undertakings. This is the same as the injunction however instead of a power of arrest if he breaks it he is in contempt of court and will serve a two year sentence! Providing he has some anger management courses i've agreed he can see the children once a fortnight for two hours supervised. We've also put in the papers for a variation of the current childrens court order. As it didnt take as long as we thought Jase took me for a very posh and expensive meal to celebrate after....I had lobster :eek:

    0002008E.gifso yes, i am jumping for joy! But crikey do i feel compleatly and utterly battered now00020080.gif
    Jase in the middle of cleaning and in a min he is popping upto the shop to get me some gin and tonic as a treat and lots of choclate. It wasnt as bad as we thought, however i am so emotionally drained now i'm falling to sleep already! The kids are now in bed, visiting the MiL tomorrow and i've got to pop into my brewing shop to get some more of my kit for ITV on monday. I wanted to get some christmas cards made this evening as Jase picked up all my 'kit' and magazines but i am so exhausted i cant move off the sofa! Doesnt help that i had to scale several flights of stairs at the court and am now suffering for it!
    Love to you all for the best wishes, the wonderful comments and making me think i could do it! And the circle of flyladies defo worked xxxxx
