after I have been on the river clean:D:D:D:D<< that's the flying bit on this post oh illustrious one!
and I am a sort of honorary bridesmaid/bridesmother I think.
My pal has asked me to go with the to help her look for a dress - the date is set. Any tips? I am going to take (a) a notebook and (b) a camera then we know what she liked/did not like etc.
'We' are looking for a reception venue for 100 guests (day) with, possibly, 50 more for the evening do, in, or close to Valliland.
and 'their' song, which will be played during the service, is perfect and I shall cry - I have a year to practise not weeping
(NO good me recommending either of the places I had my TWO receptions in because they have BOTH been demolished:rotfl:)
I have had a lovely lunch - mushrooms in a stilton sauce, steak and kidney pie (a sort of cobbler top) and veggies and creme brulee...

Change of plan, i'm not going to Tesco now. I'm waiting for a phone call, i'm so cross i could explode.
I was supposed to get free childcare when i did my course so i put Ds2 in a private nursery. The company took so long to pay the fees ( 3 months ) i paid the 1st months fees £620 myself on the condition the nursery was going to pay me back when they were paid.
I never got the money back.. Fast forward to now i finished in July and have been phoning nursery & this company almost every day. Last week the nursery told me as well as the money owed to me they were still owed £1500:eek:, i contacted the company again and told them and they said unless the nursery phone them with the invoice numbers that are missing there's nothing they can do. Then i found out the branch is closing today:eek:.
I've spoken to the manager of the nursery but she says she doesn't deal with the financial side of things and has been passing the message on to the boss who will deal with it. Today the company tells me they have paid the nursery for the month i paid. So the nursery are telling me they haven't been paid and seem in no hurry to sort out the money they are owed and the company are telling me they've paid them and unless the nursery give them the invoice numbers by 4.30 today there's nothing they can do.:mad::mad:
The nursery manager promised me she will phone me back today but they're running out of time. It's so frustrating. Oh says i should issue a small claims summons on the company. I don't know what to believe and don't have a chance in hell of getting my money back.:mad::mad:
Sorry for the completely off topic rant but i needed to get it off my chest.0 -

I have been sorting the bedroom pretty much all week, throw in getting quotes for the house, plus all clubs started again and hubby's away tomorrow to scotland as well as the boys going to a joint b'day party on sunday (which i've only got one pressent for), i also joined WW and so far can't seem to stick to my points.:o So it's all go here.
I'm hoping that with the list up i'll get a move on as i could really head to bed right now but the house is piggin.
Hope everyone is well and i shall have a good read of the thread tonight.
Right better get started.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Holly - maybe you need to put it in writing so that you start a paper trail IYSWIM...
write to the nursery/company outlining what should have happened and tell them what they now need to do. Include a request for an immediate refund of monies paid out by you as per your original agreement.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
