    Hi all....

Have had a frantic couple of days - can't seem to get anything done at the moment. Mum visited yesterday, so I spent loads of time chatting rather than cleaning.

Anyway, baby is asleep at the moment (famous last words!) so I've sneaked on here to check in....

    Level One
    Declutter and degrot the floors
    Vacuum/mop floor
    Level Two
    Dust and deweb

[STRIKE]Clear and wipe the table/mantel/etc and put back only what should be there.[/STRIKE]
Check oil/coal stores and prices for those who need them for their winter heating.
Sort coats, shoes and bags into their proper places.. are any outgrown? need replacing?

    Tidy the clothes cupboards

I also spent half an hour sorting the boxes on the landing ready for the loft, and I've spent another half hour clearing DD's computer desk. Looks lovely and sparkly now!

I haven't had much time to catch up on the thread, so I'll send loads of hugs to those who need them....

    See you later

  • Hello! I've been and had my hair cut so I look and feel much better now. We found a grey hair while I was there - I saw it glinting in the lights and the hairdresser had a look and said yes it is my first one. I'm only 25 sob sob!
Have put the seats down in the car to make packing easier, have put in half the shopping and the other half is waiting by teh front door. Have also got some of my clothes out and written a long list of what needs doing.

While I've been out DH has hung out washing, washed up, started more washing, and started on the fish pie. We'd shoved a chicken casserole into the freezer still in its pyrex dish, I've helped him to get the casserole out of hte dish and into bags so we can use the dish for the fish pie. Have got masses of food to take down to Devon, don't think there will be room in the car for anything else! We are sharing the cooking with Mum and Dad and have done lots of it in advance.

Support worker is coming later so better have a quick nap now so I can take on board anything she wants to tell me, brain is a bit fried now! At least I can see clearer what still needs doing now I've got some of the bitty bits out of the way!

Soappie hope your DS and DIL can complete on the flat today or very soon

Diva hope Rachel’s operation goes well and they get all that nasty cancer out of her

    Hugs Mrs B

Jinks have a good time with Dazco!

Rach Hope your FIL’s op goes well this afternoon

Zoe saw a load of people outside Guildford court house and thought of you, hope things are going ok, I too am right behind you cheering you on xx Be kind to yourself this weekend, you are bound to feel a bit emotional after such a difficult day

Jo, Valli’s DD, Carol hope you are better soon

Wilf, oh no, hope you find your purse – congrats to DS

The malt loaf is nowhere near ready so can stay where it is for now. I think it is the first time I have cooked one in my electric oven so it is trial and error (hopefully not too much error or OH will be upset).

I have been busy while that is in the oven doing nothing from my list. I have completely scrubbed one of the racks from the oven and it is gleaming. I am going to try the other one later when my back has recovered from bending over and I will give the oven a go when the malt loaf is out.

I am not putting off things from my list, honest. It is starting to brighten up outside so I may try the garden. I have to do the bedroom this weekend so it will get done by Sunday night so I am not worrying too much about it today. Although I don't want to give myself too much to do over the weekend or I will be exhausted next week, and I am going to be quite busy.

    Afternoon all

    Mrs Beatson
, so sorry about your dog (mine is 14 too and I worry about her a lot)

Well done on the job Quillion

Hope today is going well Zoe

Haven't finished catching up yet, just wanted to post the above quickly. No washing today, I did all the bedrooms on Wednesday so I hope that finished the week for me. Made some cakes this morning. I've moved my few Christmas bits into the cupboard I've cleared.

I'll try to catch up some more now.

Sorry you lost your purse with all that money Wilf, makes you feel sick when something like that happens doesn't it?

Star for today please Toots :)
