    Afternoon all!

Had a very relaxed weekend at oh's! Kids were looked after by their dad this weekend, think my drip drip approach is starting to work, as he is now saying that it isn't right that he stays here with them! Hmmm, funny how it now seems to be his idea, still whatever works, the point is I don't really want him staying here, they can go to stay with him easily enough, I'm quite happy to drive them!

Went to speedway on Friday night, enjoyable evening and something I haven't done for a long time. Saturday was spend pootling about, went into the shops and then had a nice meal and bottle of wine in front of Strictly - don't think oh is ever gonna be a fan though judging by the eye rolling lol! Nipped out for lunch today and forgot we were meant to be meeting oh's step sis, oops, had to dash back! Then drove back home to the kids, sorted out the chaos and popped out for essentials like loo roll - just for information Bounty really doesn't dissolve in water, I know this definitely as I've had to unblock the loos where it had been used!

OH is now at work again, and I'm about to start on the ironing, not too bad as it is the one job I actually enjoy! Then going to do a roast for me and oh, kids have already had pizza and dough balls and salad, bet they still try to pinch my roasties though, so best make extra!

Hope everyone has a good evening xx

  • Evening all.
Late on here today. Been a busy day.
Headed to Walsall to put some flowers down on H's grans, great grans and great uncles headstone and then onto Costco. Was VERY restrained in there and only bought stuff that I had money off vouchers for (2 x Fairy washing powder - kids keep having sore rashes round backs of knees etc so am switching washing powders to see if that helps, 2 x rolled leg of pork, scotch beef roasting joint and 2 x nutella ;)) whole lot came to £83  but the pork I cut into 4, the beef (which was £31 after money off) I have split with my mum and I have cut that into 3 and we bought 2 mahoosive boxes of washing powder for £12 (after money off) each.
So that's the next few months shopping budget blown but I only go to Costco every 4-5 months and their meat is fab. Deliberately didn't look round the rest of the store to avoid temptation

Back is killing me, keep walking like a duck at the moment, think it must be lugging DD around. Although she's now walking good and proper :T getting her in and out of the car/cot/highchair I think is playing havoc with my poor back.

NPM - sorry you're suffering. I asked my H for a lie in this morning (as I get up with the kids 6-7 days a week and his first response was "if I have to.........I didn't sleep very well" You can imagine how narked I was this morning. It's the same every time I ask and I still have to get up with them if I don't have a very good night  Anyway enough waffle - hope Noah isn't coming down with it too hugs to you both xx

Welcome :j to new posters :D

Right off to rest my back, sitting at the kitchen table with the lappy isn't making it feel so good. Be back checking in bright and early in the morning ;)

    Hi all

Just made jam for the first time ever tonight and now have 4 large pots all cooling nicely. I am so pleased with myself the only thing is I am dying to eat some but it is weight-in night tomorrow at my slimming club (first week too so I can hardly cheat!) Just took me ages to clean the kitchen up of all the tiny red spots everywhere:rotfl:

Loads of apples left too so might have to go and pick some more blackberries not sure if we will get chance now till next weekend. I really want to get some sloes, having tried my first taste of sloe gin at the food fair in York yest so want to make some now but not really sure what to look for! I know they are small and purple-ish!!!

Right off to watch Doc Martin. Have a good evening all
