Morning all,
Nice day here again, I have my bedding in the wm and will get it on the line. DD is going to strip her bed in a while. DD is off out with her dad today.
There is a french market in a local town today, think I might have a look round. I am cooking a happy chicken for dinner today, dd will have the roasties and veg and something veggie.
Going to make some cakes later, little fairy cakes and lemon drizzle.
House is all fairly tidy, so will just have a quick swipe round then off to the market and then out for a walk with little dog.
Marie, the new puppy sounds lovely, can you post a photo ??
Haribo, how lovely to have chickens :T
NPM hope you feel better soon xx
OK need more tea. have good days all xx0 -
Morning all:j
Had a lazy lie-in this morning. Fantastic evening last night for friend's birthday - the fire-pit bbq. We had a seafood paella cooked on an 'oz-pig'. It looks like a chiminera with a long, tall chimney which you then open up after cooking to provide heat for the chilly evening. Left the kids camping in the back garden whilst I came home to be with the spangles. Am going back later when they are all up for a full English brunch and a lazy afternoon:T
Made some strawberry jam yesterday but it is very runny. Might mix it with the easi-yo natural yoghurt instead!
Thanks for all the suggestions regarding onions and garlic. I have some old plastic window boxes that I will put the garlic in and I'm sure I have a couple of large tubs somewhere that I can get the onions in. I am not expecting to be able to dig the new beds until the spring really as the ground may be too hard once we have moved, unpacked and settled in the house. We'll see what winter brings......
Making a chicken curry in the SC for tonight and doing a spot of ironing when the Archers comes on but not much else going on today. Sunday really is a day of rest in my house:T I try not to shop AT ALL on Sunday nor give in to DD's request to taxi her around. One thing I loved from my childhood was Sunday. Roast dinner to the sound of Family Favourites, washing-up to the Navy Lark then boiled eggs and soldiers to Songs of Praise.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all,
will be making a large batch of leek & potato soup this morning with the leeks I got from Aldi's on Friday.then just a bit of a whizz round and I have to dig out my draughts set for my youngest DGS as the other two won't let him play chess with them. But he is only 5 so Granny will be playing with him this afternoon I think. Dinner at DD's late afternoon and help the boys get stuck into their homework and that just about takes care of Sunday.I have some washing to hang out in a minute so I'm hoping it will get a bit of a blow ,but its looking a bit grey atm.Oh well onwards and upwards.Hope everyone has a nice day
Cheers JackieO xx0 -

Good morning,
I didn't manage the hobnobs yesterday, so I have made them this morning. Ds has just gone up the road to my friends with a boxful, so hopefully I will manage to do the ironing in peace.
I was woken last night by next door arguing, then at 5:30am as usual by ds. ds was told to go back to sleep and shouted me again at 6:05 - I let him get up then. I'm a bit tired today, and ds is disgusted that I refuse to act as entertainment manager and plan his day for him. Oh well, a day at home with me and he should be overjoyed to be back at school tomorrow :rotfl:
Take care all of you.0 -
Morning all! :hello:
NPM: don't feel guilty about taking time off work, I was the same last week (although TBH I don't think I actually could have got out of bed let alone got to work) but it's not just you yoy have to think about, you don't want to spread any nasties around. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Well I'm still a bit wobbly, but its a definite improvement. Supposed to be going to see the Soweto Gospel Choir tonight, we paid £20 each for tickets so I am determined to make it! I was really looking forward to it, but by tonight I'll probably be fast asleep whlile everyone else is whooping around me...
Lunch is a gammon joint which has been in my SC overnight, with savoy cabbage, mash and parsley sauce, followed by plum upside down cake and custard. Kids have just gone off to Sunday School, so I've got peace and quiet to get on with it!
Hope you all have a good day x0 -
Morning all-nice an sunny here but a definate nip in the air.Not been on for a couple of days so been reading back.Had a good weekend so far-on Friday we went to the excellent Elbow concert at the Manchester arena, football yesterday, and this afternoon we are going to a outdoor concert for local bands, our friends are performing. That means I need something quick to cook when we get back,so I'll get some steak out of thefreezer. Not really much OSiness to report though I shall stick the bm on in a minute.

Morning,
Just thought I'd say hello, I popped my head around the door a couple of months ago, but have now moved house and job and can really get my head into gear with being old style. Am at present trying to sort my stuff out to be more organised. And I know posting on here will help millions, so if you don't mind my list for day is:
Water tomatoes
make jam!!
make soup
hang up all clothes
do washing (on 30 degree)
clean cooker
iron uniform
we'll see how far I get!!!
See you later

Morning all!
I woke up early again, but lazed in bed reading and watching Gok Wan on tv.
I've finally got round to dyeing my hair, and whilst waiting for the colour to develop I've washed up the dishes. My kitchen is a bombsight after my cupcake and spring roll baking marathon yesterday! So I will be cleaning that and the bathroom next.
I'm debating whether to go out for a walk later or just to have a lazy day pottering round. I think lazy day may winI have a pile of clothes to put away and paperwork to tidy too.
I have developed a new hobby which is searching the internet for recipes! I blame the OS board for starting me off on this. I'm veggie but am also looking at meat recipes that I can adapt.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday
