Unfair redundancy?

  • I can understand that you would not want to work for them, issue is the redundancy money is not much and you may be out of work a while. If you have a nest egg or other support, then maybe you do not need it.

    What you are doing at the moment is asking for the matrix and where you came in that matrix. If you came bottom, for example, then theoretically they would have to reinstate all 3 of you - unless you could show the scoring was fundamentally flawed. Also, at this time, the Company do not appear to have given you the right of appeal - at least nothing in writing?

    It is therefore not likely that you will be reinstated.

    Even if you do not follow through on the appeal - ie you were to agree with the selection criteria and scoring - this does not prevent you from claiming as outlined above.
