Due to the eejits at Thomas Cook changing the departure terminal for my flight from Gatwick South to Gatwick North I have had to cancel my lounge booking. I have re-booked it for the North Terminal.
I was not sure what would happen with the cashback, as when I booked it was 75% and now it is 50%. I had to phone up to cancel which was done with no problem but they couldn't change the booking to the North Terminal, I had to book again. The cancellation went through at the new rate i.e. 50% as did the new booking and showed as separate transaction.
So if I had just cancelled it I would have made £13.50. (Original booking was £54.00 with £40.50 cashback = net £13.50; cancellation £54.00 with £27.00 cashback = net £27.00, giving a "profit" of £13.50). So if anyone else is considering cancelling for some reason, you could end up making some money.

I will be flying back from Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific in September and want to book an airport luonge for the return I have already booked one at Heathrow for the departure. Has any one been to any of the lounges at Hong Kong's airport and if so which one would be the best for me to book? Thanks.0

That's sound ike an excellent loop hole.
I am having to cancel one because Air South West only open checkin 1 hour before departure.
With security and passport control I don't think we are going to have any time to use the lounge.
We also have a wheelchair passenger with us which will slow us down (getting the lift etc.) and we ahve to be on the plane first.
I have therefore jsut sent them an email to cancel.
I would however caution you on one thing.
Legally Egg could ask for this money back for up to 6 years.
I know it isn't a fortune if you had to return it, but be aware that they MAY become aware of it at some point and claim it back.0 -

To book Sanford you need to contact them direct ad you can book it that way, the webpage is https://www.orlandosanfordairport.com and look for either the guest house or the palms, it is the same lounge, you can call or do it by e-mail. You can also book it when you get there so you do not need to do it in advance, as long as they have room.
Only thing is you can't get the cashback.0 -
