Hang on, hang on. You're allowed to use 3 SIMs in any 3G phone... not just a 3 phone.

A 3G phone is one that will use a 3G service... like 3.
    this is what I think
    Ergo, CPW are talking tosh.
    and Three

When you've got a 3 phone that can't find a 3 signal, it uses Orange's 2G (slower) network instead - and this costs 3 loads of money, so they don't like it happening all the time.

If you use an older 2G-only phone, it'll 100% of the time use Orange, and 100% of the time cost 3 a shedload.

So any 3G phone is fine by 3...

    Very well put !

I recently had a member of CPW staff tell me that the only phones which would work on 3 were the 3 phones. I had 3 staff tell me lots of rubbish as well. Then I had a very nice 3 lady take the time to tell me the truth.

I was really only interested in Skype out and only 3 have that functionality without using a data allowance. I tried it and it was rubbish and so abandoned the idea (had a nice lady at Argos agree to sell me and take back for a refund a INQ 3 phone and I got a free SIM at a 3 shop on PAYG). Not sure why it was rubbish but it was, even when showing the "H" symbol for the 3.5G thing.

Don't forget, all CPW phones are unlocked.

    are you sure?

What you say is true. I Think the staff acts that way both for ignorance and because wants to cheat the customers.

I think I will buy it tomorrow.

Just to keep updated, what I find out in some forums is that, when people where using 3sim cards on non 3phones, 3 blocked some accounts and left other working. that without any apparent rule.
