Oh JHA i don't think i could cope that long :( Maybe i will but we'll see...i'll def make it past the next appointment though, jus so i can ask if i can. Lol at having to ask MW permission for me and oh to DTD :D

I personally wouldn't mind a male doctor or midwife while i'm in the throes of labour - i had a few male doctors checking me throughout and it didn't bother me too much. I think once i am back home and BF i would mind though - i don't know why, i just would feel it was a little inapropriate (even though it's not if they know what they are doing) just wouldn't want to demo everything to a man and ask what i am doing wrong

Male nurses in general are pretty nice ( and they actually listen to you in my experience) though - i do agree!

Yeah I have had internals from men doctors/consultants before and I was a little uncomfortabel but it didnt bother me that much

But I wouldnt want a Male MW come out while I am breastfeeding??

Three - I know, OH says he has felt him kick but I havent?? think I am going to send him to the shop for some coke or lucozade

Sorry youve had a crap sleep Som

EA well done for winning the bundle

PP Thank god you are ok, sorry you have to go back to hospital

Always - thanks,I thin I will I am going to try drinking something and laying still and if not I will ring MW

EA - why not lay still and let him watch when she is active? OH couldn't feel anything for ages with DD, but i did get him to watch sometimes which is cool too - it is just a tiny little flicker but the amazement in OH's eyes made my day ;)...and his of course, lol!

Morning all - just caught up and promptly forgot everything I was going to say to everyone! Well, I remember a tiny bit:

PP - so glad that you seem okay, hope the monitoring goes well. Big stay put vibes for baby and healthy vibes for you!

EA - I keep meaning to ask you...we discovered the same problem with Domino's last week so wanted to ask how you resolved it? At the time I couldn't be bothered as I remembered you saying it took like an hour so I gave up and made a meal instead.

Funny about the male MWs convo as I was just participating in an identical discussion on another board! I personally would not mind at any stage, but worry that DH would (he's weird like that), but think if it was 'in the moment' he'd be too focused on me anyway. I've been to a male gynocologist in the USA for exams/smear tests and it's never been weird.

Can I go back to bed now? :rotfl:

EA - I can feel bubs sometimes but have to press quite firm against womb, and OH doesnt like that. I had a bath on Thur and could see the odd twitch, maybe you could do that.

Aless - I called them in the end lol. Didn't get any offers at all though :( Our address isn't registered with royal mail for some reason so isn't on there website. Was thinking of going to PO and asking about how i can get my flat registered.

Then i can apply online for things :D

Som - Yeah OH wont press hard on my tummy either. I'll have a bath tonight and have a look, and then call OH in if she starts moving lots :)

    Thanks x

I was getting in shower this morning and thought my waters were breaking as it was that wet down there :osorry! so I put my hand down and felt,as u do lol and ergggghhhhhhhh yet more stringy gooey messy stuff YUCK, LOADS more than ever before though, just kept coming away! I'm 99.99% sure that it definatley is my plug coming away, it really didn't look like regular discharge atall and the fact there was so much of it falling out!! I think the pressure of babys head is forcing it out,I'm sure he's moved down some more since Wednesday and is possibly squashing my bowel cos Ive gone constipated again  and the very top of my right thigh feels wierd, like babys head is on a nerve or something. Still don't believe he's gonna make a move for the exit anytime soon but I suppose at the most I've only 1 week to wait to meet him anyway (induction next weekend) and all these things that I've had happen to me must mean my body is well prepared so hopefully it would all happen fairly quick once started.

Ok whinge over!! Sorry people xxx
love my little man he is amazing :j

EA - yeah we have the same problem - there's 9 flats in the building but Royal Mail doesn't have them registered individually. It's a royal PITA esp. b/c we are in the 1 flat that doesn't use the main front door so I always have to double-check delivery men know where to find us. I asked RM about it when we first moved but they seemed less-than-helpful.

helen - even though it's gross, it's good news!! You never know, you can go into labour at any second without any warning. Mega labour vibes for you!!
