  • Morning everyone.
SJ - sorry you're feeling rough. I'm feeling rubbish too, so I'm off work again today.
    Som - good luck!
Ellie Belle - I would be really pee'd off too. That's really rubbish when you've specifically asked if they can return things. With my daughter, a work colleague of mine sold me a number of baby items that she didn't think she would need anymore and gave me loads more, that she 'might want back'. I understood entirely, and later when someone else she knew had a baby, she asked me if I could pass on some of the newborn clothes. Under the circumstances I was more than happy to do so, and I added some of the other clothes I had bought as well, because it seemed the right thing to do - baby karma!

  • Help!!!!

I really like this travel system http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_54_10751_-1_14051_80006_10001_14051 and its now reduced from £180 to £159.99 there are only 25 left on kiddiecare, do you think they are going to stop selling them after that?

Is it too soon to buy the pram now? (due in march)

Kindofagilr - that system's really nice. I wouldn't worry too much about how early it is to buy it, as long as you have somewhere to keep it in the meantime. Last time, I got our buggy really early on because I got a great bargain on Ebay. This time (it gave up - can't use it again this time) I haven't seen anything yet which has made me rush out and get it, but if I do, I will (if that makes sense!).

Sad day for me today, it's a year ago today I lost my mum. Woke up crying so had a real good cry already. Miss her so much, today is going to be so tough.

On a more positive note, it's my due date today!! :j

I have a MW appointment at 2pm so wondering if she'll ofer me a sweep as I'm 40 weeks. Didn't really want to go out and face anyone today,I'm frightened I'll burst in tears, but I can't sit and mope around all day either.
Induction is something I've had to start thinking about now too..I have to make a decision..if I want my homebirth I'll have to refuse induction but that means I could be possibly waiting another 2 weeks for labour to start. BUT if I end up having to wait that long for baby to arrive, Me, hubby and kids will hardly get any time atall to ourselves as a new family before my dad comes back again (he's back here in 3 weeks!) I have to have a long think about things but I'll probably go with induction if I'm honest.

Fidget- still sending you massive labour vibes but I hope there has been something happen since you were last on!

SJ- hugs to you, hope your soon feeling better, oh and Beenies ds too xxx
love my little man he is amazing :j
  • Helen - I don't think I have any words so I'm sending you a virtual hug.
Also sending labour vibes so that you can avoid making that decision!

Good Luck at the scan som.(is it your 20wk one?)

Feel tired today...the baby couldn't sleep last night as he was all bunged up, so ended up bringing him downstairs at some silly o clock to put him in his bouncy chair, being more upright meant he managed to drift of to sleep.....I am just thankful I am not suffering with morning sickness or I don't know how I would manage!

Kindof...I bought my pushchair this time last year for my baby who I had this year, it was reduced and I loved it so didn't want to miss out:)

I am actually on a pushchair hunt at the moment, well just starting to look into what double to get. I have had the phil & teds highly recommended by two people and I do love the look of it, but there are a few things I am not sure about with it....I think I need to go and have a play about with one.

helen - hugs for your sad day.....here are some strong labour vibes coming your way, hopefully your baby will make an entrance into the wide world today:)

    Hiya All,

Som - good luck with the scan and hope your doggy is ok and it doesnt cost too much!

MGEB - I would be well p'd off about bil giving the stuff away!! How dare they! On a smaller scale I left a lot of things at my mum's house after I had dd nothing too fancy but things I that would've been ideal now like a bouncer, doorway bouncer, fire guard, monitors etc. She's got loads of room and has no trouble storing other stuff like christmas decs and my clothes but she's always scoffed when I ever mentioned that I might want more kids and now I've come to ask for all my stuff back they have mysteriously "gone missing" I would lay money on that she has given them to other people in the family for their kids without asking me. There was a reason why I left them there!! It still makes me mad thinking about it!

EA - Glad you are finally feeling some movement! Soon it will be none stop :j

Waiting for the midwife to ring now but I'm really not going to build my hopes up too much as I usually find if I'm relying on something happening it will let me down and I end up more upset. Actually tried sex last night but so far that hasn't worked. It was a bit strange (and fairly painful) really as I don't think we have done it since I was about 20 wks!

Just had a bath and came down to find dd munching her way through a roll of toilet paper:eek:! It really made me gag _pale_. She's just being so strange at the moment! I'm not going to try to put the date back of the induction though because as much as I want to go on my own I really want it over now so I can try to get dd more settled.

On a more positive note my mum is going to drive us to ASDA this afternoon and as sad as it may seem I'm really excited about it! Except for the joke of a visit to midwife yesterday I can't remember when I last went out. I just hope she doesn't rush me too much.

That sounds ideal - pretty much the garage is the only option for us at the moment if we get it, and I'm a bit worried about the damp in there. I would definitely say 'go for it' in that case :j

Hiya helen, didn't see you there. Sending you be strong vibes for today and labour vibes for tomorrow! I hope you don't have all this induction head wreck, I can see how it would be especially disappointing if you had planned a home birth too. I never realised how poo it would be to go overdue! And I was so certain that I wouldn't too . My midwife said they only offer sweeps at 41 wks but that is probably something that varies from place to place.

Ew, my house still smells like burnt popcorn!
