  • I took an eBay cheapie test on the day my AF was due when it hadn't arrived by lunchtime (I'm normally really regular so I classed this as late). Got a good line, but it was my last test so I walked to meet OH from work and buy some more tests from Asda. I remember whispering in his ear that I thought I was pregnant, then did another test which confirmed it when I got home.

I think I took about 9 tests altogether. Not very MSE or very rational but it made me feel a bit better!

Haha well as my first test was so faint (not counting the CB digi) i used up all my ebay cheapies over the first few weeks and then bought some tesco own brand, just incase i wasn't pregnant anymore and the first 10 tests lied to me... :rotfl:
But they were reduced so... :money: :rotfl:

When i did my test, OH had been nagging me to get a test but i said no cos my period would probably come and it'd be a waste of money, i couldn't remember when my last period was so i wasn't sure how late my period was lol.

So when i was shopping i bought a pack of two cheapies from Morrisons and wee'd on it, OH didn't even drag himself away from the Wii lol, so i told him to look and the supposedly pink dot was almost bright red haha. I did the other one just to be sure, then i cried and was like omg it wasn't meant to happen this quick lol!! :o

    CONGRATULATIONS JENNY!

And by now, I really hope congratualtions to nanc too!

Fidget and helen - huuuuuuuuuuuuugeeeeeeeeeeeeeee labour vibes to you both!

Princess - welcome to your new home, move sounded vile but at least its done now so hopefully the worst is over. Perhaps try freecycle for new bedroom furniture?

    fatty - hugs for you

ea - my bfp is still a photo on my phone! infact told oh over the phone as we weren't quite living together then. I seem to remember we were both in shock! But very much looking forward to meeting our little boy now :)

stayed over at a friends last night after a lovely party in north london - somehow managed to stay awake until half 1 this morning but am suffering for it today, apart from tiredness, have had the most uncomfortable acid reflux, had to buy (well used boots points for it!) gaviscon as no way I could wait for freebie prescription tomorrow! off for a nap now!

    Hiya,
JHA - mentioned the all fours thing to OH, he asked if going swimming would have the same effect, as you'd be 'hanging' in water? Did make me wonder, as can't imagine quite how I'd manage the being on all fours in the house for half an hour a day...time to get a gym ball maybe!

I can see how this all fours thing might be not to everones prefrence. I am not sure about swimming as i cant do it coz of spd. ( i can only do breaststroke:o)
As my wrists are shot from doing hands and knees:o I am at the stage now where i let my gymball right down and slump over it so i am on gymball and knees:rotfl: Watched Strictly from a new angle last night:rotfl:And OH was in histerics about my carpet burn knees this morning:rotfl:It all helps though - i do half an hour on gymball and knees and then pump it back up and bounce on it for half an hour and then try and do 1/2 hr pelvic floor excercises - which i am finally getting better at:D

I remember my BFP, i was scared to do it , as we had no plans of any more children , i got up early and did one and yes it was positive, i did'nt tell my OH at first just sat down stairs wondering what to do as we had both said when we met no more children , with 5 between us was understandable, I think he knew something was up , any way 8.30 came called docs for appointment , he then came downstairs and asked , why i had been up so early and who was on phone, i told him i was'nt feeling to good needed to go see doc , he then asked what was the matter , i just said , i think i am pregnant , he stood still mouth open for about 3 minutes never said a word, i just said, i know i am as shocked as you , and started crying, then left for doc appointment,
I came home and said yes i am pregnant about 6 weeks , he said ,, nik you know its not what i want , i said i know , and explained how i felt , lots of tears , and just left it at that , had to go to work , i was very sad and kept crying on and off most of the day , he had been texting me saying it wasn't what he wanted , he couldn't go through it , by the time i got home ,i was so sad and scared , we both said it was not what we wanted , i was sobbing as i did'nt agree with abortion , and was scared , but i had decided what ever he decided i would keep baby wether i would be on my own or with him , i had done it before i could do it again,
That evening i was browsing the net and came across the pregnancy crisis centre , and decided i would go to see them in the morning , i called work for emergency holiday , told OH my plans , and he asked if i wanted him there , i said it was up to him,
The next morning we got up went down to the crisis centre but they had no appointments, but the lady saw how devasted i was and found us a spot,
We both talked about our fellings, we both cried, we bith read leaflets , when the lady explained that the embryo was actually a feotus , and how the abortion pill works , my OH said , theres no way she is going to have that i would never want hr to be put through that it is awful, we will get through this, i love her so much i dont want us to split up , i felt so much love fill me up when he said that, i was so glad he came with me and we talked.
After we left the centre , he actually admitted he would never of left me but it was such a shock and it scared him, (money , space ), and having other children was knowing how to tell them ,but it was the best decision he had made by coming with me .
I know some of the things he said was harsh but the bottom line , we love each other dearly , this is now the best thing happening to us at the moment , and so pleased we agreed to carry on with the pregnancy , i couldnt ask for a better OH.

I havent had a great time with this pregnancy with the operation 6 weeks ago where our little an had a 70/30 chance of surving, and all the problems since, it is all worth it though , little man is kicking away while i type this too

And the best thing is its hes first son and he was like a cat who got the cream the day we found out and the first time he said our son was so magical , as at the begining he used to say my baby this my baby that ( mine not hes), but now its always our this our that
    :A:A
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

EA I don;t even know why I tested when I did, I was waiting for AF to come so I could go book for a day 21 blood test to check if I was ovulating - we thought I wasn't. It had been about 3 months since my last AF.

I was half way through finishing off a really big cupcake order that had to be delivered the next day, and DH had gone out to football practice. For some reason (and I don't know why, even to this day) I decided to go upstairs and do a test. I actually did an ov and a pg test. Think I must just have been sick of waiting and not knowing what was going on, and maybe a bit bored too!

So I peed in a cup and used both stick tests. Sat there on the loo and watched first the ov one then the pg one get lines on!!!

    I was totally amazed!!

I phoned DH and asked if he was at football yet, he said he was but he'd got there early and was the first one there. (He'd gone to bottle bank but had mistimed and actually had about 30 mins spare)

So I tried to sound as casual as I could and asked him if he could pop home before it started, he asked why but I wouldn't say, just said nothing to worry about and could he come back. He did and as soon as he walked in the door I was there waiting with the stick in my hand.

He came in the door and said "is there a spider here or something?!" and I said, "yeah something, I'm pregnant!"

Then we hugged and I cried! And I'm crying now!!!

Sorry didn't mean for that to come out so long winded!!!!

    Fattybooboo - hugs to you

PP - how crap about your moving, hope things pick up for you now.

RE my BFP we had been away in Wales having a tasting session for our wedding dinner over the weekend with both sets of parents (drinking a lot of red wine! lol). Came back on the Sunday then Monday morning I said to OH "can I test now?" as we were trying not to waste our tests but I think I must have been a week overdue AF so went to pee on the stick, it took ages so went back to bed for a bit then went back to look (it was lying on the bathroom floor) and went "Oh !!!!!! I'm pregnant!" and went back in to bed with OH :)

I am 39 weeks today. YAY.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D
