I've never made scones either GISI, I fancy trying it though. Let me know if it's easy!

I also want to make mince pies from scratch this year as I've never done them before. I think I've got the nesting that's morphed into general homemaking! I can't stop cooking and baking and stuff!! I've got a lemon drizzle loaf cake that's about 10 minutes off finishing in the oven, and I just put a sticky toffee pudding in, and now I'm gonna clean the kitchen then I'm really fancying trying to make some gingerbread cupcakes, as I have gingerbread men sprinkles that I really want to put on something!!!!!

Oh, and I've also got a winter veg soup in the slow cooker, and 2 lots of fruit soaking for xmas cakes. :rotfl:

Doesn't help that DH is still not back yet and I'm bored!!

Anyone else due around the 16th Nov?

Hi Afroscot, Im just catching up but yes I am due on 11th Nov.

Well sad times for us as we decided to have our little dog put to sleep yesterday afternoon. The vets rang and said she was worse on sat morning and they tried her with some steroids and rang a few hours later to say these had only improved her slightly. So we went to see her and she was in such a bad way that we had no doubt we had to let her go. So glad we got to see her and to say goodbye and be with her when we went to sleep. Am so sad now though, I know it will get easier in time but at the moment I just want her back. Our other dog is not really right and must wonder where she is. I have put lots of photos of her up in a wire frame thing I have on the wall as I want to have her close IYSWIM!!

Well whether it is because of all this upset, my bump has been having pains at times, like when I stand up from sitting down or getting off the loo. I wonder if baby has dropped or head has started to engage. It is all super wriggly this afternoon!! Think I will go up for a bath now and watch it moving for a bit :)

Will finish catching up afterwards :o xx

Yeah I was the second :)

You found out on 27th June (I remember cos I went on holiday that morning) you did a test and it was faint then you got a first resposse before going to the wedding :) I was so excited :)

I then got my postiive on holiday in Cyrpus on 1st July

Yeah that was the day of OH's cousins wedding, i woke up at 5am to test, and then again at 7am, and ended up going to sainsburys, tescos and then boots beofre getting a clearblue digital :p

Did you buy a test on holiday?

    Infact, im curious now.

Do any of you remember your BFP day?
And how did you tell OH?

I told OH by leaning over him at 5am whispering and poking him to wake him up, then shoving a wee covered stick in his face to check lol. He wasn't to sure so he said to do another one when i woke up. Woke at 7am, Still faint. So at 8am we walked to sainsburys, then tesco then Boots. And i bought a double pack of clearblue incase it was negative. It was positive. I made him check for me cause i didn't want to be upset :rotfl:
  • Big hugs to you Fattybooboo. Such a hard decision, but I'm sure you did the right thing. Hope your bath makes you feel better.

SJ- gingerbread cupcakes sound lovely! Think I'm going to do half cheese scones and half sweet!

I took 7 test on holiday and I used them all lol

I used a ebay cheapy on the 1st and it was very faint (I had done one the day before and it was blank), so I did one every day lol and it gradually got darker, OH didnt trust them, and I had a sainsburys one, that I took on the Monday the 6th July (when I was 5 days late) and it was soooo dark

I left the bathroom it was 6am (the day of my brothers wedding) and was like "baby, baby, baby, we're having a baby" lol he was like "what, let me see, where is it" and I showed him and we had a cuddle and a cry :)

:grouphug: Aww booboo I'm so sorry. It is heartbreaking when something like that happens. I know it's only a small consolation but at least she is no longer in pain.

Hope your bath helps your bump pains too.
