Hiya,
Ooh it's all go on here today - Nanc good luck, hope it's quick & pain free
JHA - mentioned the all fours thing to OH, he asked if going swimming would have the same effect, as you'd be 'hanging' in water? Did make me wonder, as can't imagine quite how I'd manage the being on all fours in the house for half an hour a day...time to get a gym ball maybe!
Oooh Weezl thank you SO much for the book, delivered today strangely enough! Poor postie working overtime, but we're very grateful and plan to get reading tonight
All the talk of roasties got me thinking - tonights tea is roast potatoes, pork chops & veg, yumAnd for lunch...I've just made loads of vegi sushi, yummy.
Very baby based morning today - OH & I went out to Mamas & Papas to look at furniture, now undecided between the M&P Willow or Savannah range...going to measure up the room later & decide. Then we went to Gap to look at baby clothes& Ikea
then tried to go to Mothercare for another look at the Bugaboo but the queue into the complex was silly so we didn't bother.
Gymfiend- swimming (either breast stroke or front crawl) is one of the best things to turn baby apparently. You need to be a bit careful with breast stroke as it can cause problems with your hips in pregnancy, but I find as long as I take it slowly it's fine.
Don't you just love baby Gap? There stuff is so gorgeous (but so not :money:).
BTW I saw on one of the shopping boards that Sainsuburys have 25% off their TU clothing next weekend, which includes baby stuff. I have some really lovely bits from there so worth a look if anyone has one near by.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

A few website do mention swimming as a way to help optimum baby positioning, as the weightlessness of the water accomplishes similar things to being on all 4s and letting your belly hang.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
:xmassmile Mummy to Finn - 12/09; Micah - 08/12! :j0 -
I love Baby Gap - just gorgeous, we saw loads of stuff we'd like but no point buying at full price since it wouldn't fit til next Winter anyway, I'll be the first outside if they've got a boxing day sale!! Will have to pop to Sainsburys next weekend, one about a minute from us
Will try & get OH to come swimming with me then - think he'd choose that over me on all fours in front of the tv every nightStill got my gym membership til January so really ought to make more use.
Ooh, can't remember who mentioned Ugg's but wanted to say they're well worth the £s. I've had 3 pairs over the years and they last really well, just bought some black ones due to be delivered tomorrow from the US - money well spentMy little sisters Love From Australia ones were delivered today aswell (Royal Mail - on a Sunday!!), she's staying the night with us & is wearing them at the mo, they look lovely
I like to justify that they're MSE in the long run because they last so well
Could go on all day...I loooooove them

DH and I were talking about the things we'll need to get when baby comes. He's finally letting himself think about it now that we're 13 weeks! One thing I wasn't sure about is whether we'll need a moses basket and a crib or whether baby will be able to sleep in the moses basket at night as well?
I wasn't going to buy either, in fact I haven't bought either, but we were given a moses basket so will be using that. I had planned on using the carry cot bit of the travel system / pram thing we are getting for the first few months until baby goes into the cot bed.
To be honest, baby will be hapy so long it's comfy and warm so only get what you think you need.Feel all guilty about my parents neighbor we usually always wait for DS to walk home from school to my parents as it safer (no main roads to cross) but mum had been ill and we called for a prescription. We all went in the car together to collect DS from school on wed and the prescription. Dad just told me that when we have left, neighbors house was broken into. Best part was the prescription wasn't ready so we could have been their to stop the burglary.
Aww don't feel bad, it's really not your fault!Ooh, can't remember who mentioned Ugg's but wanted to say they're well worth the £s. I love Uggs too. My sister brought me some back from when she was living in Oz, I almost bought another pair whenI was over there this year but didn't, wish I had now!!
Just had kippers for lunch and now wondering how I can get the smell out of my house. Was going to light a candle but don't have matches, actually, might just try lighting it from the gas hob!!
Need to get rid of the smell as then I'm going to make a sticky toffee pudding, and I don't want the smell to get into that!0 -
Hiya gang
CONGRATULATIONS Jenny on your little lady :T weve been on tenterhooks waiting for your news! lol
Nanc- ooooh yay, hoping you are holding your little bundle safe in your arms by now
If you are that would make me 3rd on the list :eek:!!
Fidget- Your up next girl!
Well, my little man has 3 days to make his appearance untill he's officially late..I think he is wayyyy too happy and cosy where he is though. I really wanted to have had him by Wednesday as I think I would have coped better with the day (anniversary of mum passing away) had he been here to kind of distract me, but I'm slowly trying to accept that he probably won't be here by then and I'm not as upset as I thought I would be. I'll forgive himaslong as he gets his finger out and arrives by next weekend, in time for kids going back to school!
I had an awful nights sleep last night, up every 2 hours to pee, huge wee each time too with no drinking atall, I dunno where it all comes fromand all so far today I've had mild period pains, not getting worse though so nothing happening.
Baby baths- I had one for both my other two but found them a real pain to fill then carry over to where I wanted to give them a bath, then the emptying after, so this time, at first, were just gonna bath him in a washing up bowl in our kitchen sink as it's a big sink and the taps move out of the way completely so he won't get accidently knocked with them.love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Oh yeah baby baths, I am getting one. Don;t want to have to fill the big bath every time and don;t fancy kneeling on the tiles and over into the big bath either.
Pretty sure I've seen them on sale for £10-15 too so not very expensive. Will be a nice present probably for someone to get us! That could be one to add to your list GF!!0 -
I've just said to OH that three weeks tomorrow is the latest we will get to meet our little one, as our hospital let you go to 40+12 which would be the 16th!
Helen- sounds like you lil' man is very comfy in there. Glad that you're not feeling too sad about your Mum's anniversary. I can't imagine how hard it must be but at least you all have the joy of your new little one to focus on. I'm sure that's a comfort to your whole family, not just you x x
I've been getting the period type pains too but nothing regular. I'm carrying on with the eviction plan but not convinced that it making any difference! Baby is very active at the moment though, not sure if that is a sign of things moving or just baby being as impatient as me.
I'm hoping we get some lovely baby Gap things as gifts. My Dad and Step Mum seem to think that it is the only shop that sells baby things so I'm hopeful that they'll buy up the shop!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
