  • Hi all

Sorry not been posting on here for a while! We've finished a hypnobirthing course last week and are all prepared for our water homebirth, now cannot wait! :j Finally calming down from my work, am self employed and am a total workaholic so it's hard to prise myself away from it lol. Hence had no time to post on here, sorry guys!

Been busy reading as much as poss from the past pages, so will be busy trying to catch up and keep up.

This is my third, both my others arrived on time. Hope this one does too, or early. We are all ready for her!

    Hugs xxx

Ahh what a cutie Beenie :) I asked my 9 year old sister who she liked and much to my dismay, she shares your sons taste!

Yep SJ still on for Tuesday night, looking forward to it :) If you drop me your Facebook link in a PM I'll add you so you 'know' who I am!

OH has been so funny all night, he was talking to 'his son' in his put on deep voice (apparently baby is more likely to hear deep noises), telling him how he loves him already and he can't wait for his arrival, then proceeding to tell him how he wouldn't use this voice normally, only when he's naughty, but he won't be naughty so shouldn't have to hear it again :rotfl: Bless him, I was crying with laughter!

eBay appears to be eating my money - hunting out clothes for baby to match daddy, he was more polo shirts than I could shake a stick at now, whoops! Just need the baby jeans to match :D
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
  • Hello Ladies :D Hope we are all well :j

I cant believe how many posts there have been in the 2 days i havent been here for :rotfl:

Im in the new house finally

It was the worst move of my life and i swear to god i am never ever moving again :o

Me and the kids were up until 11pm on Wednesday night still packing  I then got up at 7 to take the beds down etc, van was booked to arrive at 10am.

My friend was supposed to be picking the girls up at 9 and giving them breakfast etc, she didnt turn up and i couldnt get hold of her

Did a mad dash over the shop to get the kids something to eat as everything was packed she then rang me at 10 to say they had overslept but would be there asap.

At 11 i got a phone call from the bloke with the van it had broken down but they had got it going again and would be with me in 20minutes... half an hour later the phone rang again they were lost

They eventually arrived about 11.40 but parked as far away from the house as you can get  it then took them another half an hour to drive 2mins round the block to get to the other side  Accept they never made it to the other side they decided to drive through one of the councils gates which are normally locked to get to the back of my house.

They started loading the van up and about half way through the bloke started complaining about how much stuff there was and how much he was charging me, to which my reply was i told you what was here and you gave me the quote  I dont know quite what he expected me to do about it but he wasnt getting anymore money from me :rotfl:

It ended up having to go to the new house in 2 loads which i knew it was going to have to do anyway so im not quite sure why they were suprised

My landlord then rang me (he was at the new house sorting out a couple of bits in the garden) including the dodgy back door, he had managed to get himself locked out in the back garden as the door had closed behind him and got stuck :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: so i had to go round n let him back into the house :rotfl:

They decided there was no room in the van for me to sit in it and go with them, at this point i started panicking that they were going to disappear off the face of the earth with all my stuff :rotfl:

I followed behind the van in a taxi now there is only 0.3miles between the 2 houses and its a straight road, they managed to miss the turning and get lost

They then proceeded to put EVERYTHING in the downstairs of my house :eek::eek:

Now baring in mind i look like im ready to drop this baby anyday now coz of the extra fluid im carrying they made absolutely no effort to do anything to help me  even my landlord had a go at them at this point but it made no difference at all

At this point my asda delivery turned up but they hadnt thought to put my fridge and freezer in the first load despite knowing that i had the delivery coming  I booked it between 2 and 4 because i should have been in the house by then  All my frozen food was left sat on the kitchen sides while they unloaded the van :mad::mad::mad:

They then went back and got the last of the stuff went to leave with it and the council had locked the gates they had driven through  well i cant say i didnt see that one coming

They then had to drive round the whole estate to try and find a gate that was open luckily they found one.

They then dumped everything from the second load in the downstairs of my house :mad:

By this time it was then half past 5.

I checked the van which was empty paid them and they went and sat there and cried :( i was in so much pain it was unreal and i honestly didnt know where to start :o

My friend turned up about half 6 and started taking stuff upstairs for me and she also put my bed together just so me n the kids had somewhere to sleep that night. :o

At this point once we had managed to clear a lot of the stuff out the way i noticed that all my bedroom furniture was missing :eek::eek::eek:

It is still missing now too :( Its not here and i have checked the old house i reckon they must have left it out the back of my old house in between doing the two loads and someone has nicked it  there is no other explanation for it it cant just vanish into thin air can it

Went to pick the kids up about half 8 phoned for a taxi when i got there as i just wanted to get home and sleep and the girls were shattered too, about 20 minutes later i phoned the taxi again and got told it was on its way, 20 minutes after that my friend phoned them and they were adamantly telling her that the road didnt exist, told her if she could prove it was there then they would do the fair for free but they werent going to send anyone out  in the end phoned another taxi company and got a taxi in minutes

Got in about half 9 in the end and just went straight to bed and had the worst nights sleep of my life :( was awake every hour either being sick or couldnt get comfy :(

Woke up more tired than i was when i went to bed :(

Yesterday i had some friends come over in the morning who got the majority of stuff where it needed to be they also went to put the girls bunk beds up which are now half up but there is a bolt missing so until i can get a replacement bolt the girls are in my bed with me, also found that the blokes that moved me took a free standing mirror apart, god knows why  and have lost the bits that attach it to the frame

Internet and phone line went on today have felt completely cut off from the world as i dont get any mobile signal in the house or the gardens or anything

SPD is playing up big time, i cant stop feeling sick and the anti sickness tablets aint working anymore and i have a migraine that i just cant shift :(

But on the upside im alive the kids are well and we are finally in the new house :j:j:j:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

If i dont laugh im just going to cry again :o

Hope you have all had a better couple of days than i have xxx

  • PP that sounds horrendous. Hopefully you can take it really easy for the next few days and just settle into the house at your own pace. What a pain in the butt about your bedroom furniture though, I can't believe that could happen. Big hugs for you x x x
