Iheartfreebies - I love that tin!! might have to put it on my xmas list
Mrs I - I prefer Monique although I see I'm in the minority at mo lol
I really want to start telling everybody!! Has anyone got any ways they told parents/ILs? Am little worried as OH is younger than me and I already have DD from previous rel. Not sure how his side are going to take it and am very scared of telling my mum... don't know why as she loves babies but I feel like I'm going to be judged particularly by her? Has anyone else on here got children from another rel and in same situation? I really worried about how people are going to look at me for it!! Split with ex 6 months after DD was born, had been together 3 years but she changed dynamic of rel far too much - he had always been babied and I didn't have energy to carry on with that with NB too. At least with OH that won't happen as has always been a child in our rel
I am in the same situation OH 7 years younger than me , we have been together 5 years nearly i have 3 children by previous relationship , and my OH has 2 from previous relationship ,
It was scary , as i am 37 too , so my age scared me a bit , now we will have 6 children  between us , and omg how easy it was , don't worry about what other people think its you and Oh if you happy you can take on the world , we did , yes all the kids were shocked , but now are happy to be having a little brother on the way , my mum and OH mum were shocked but after the first shock everyone is happy for us
Good luck and think you can take on the world , dont worry about anyone else , as long as you are happy thats all what counts:o

Hiya all,
Wasn't going to post again as got a little down with the thread when I was feeling hormonal the other night. Thanks for all the labour vibes but am still here!
Just come back from last midwife appointment and she confirmed that baby is fully engaged now and also my hunch that the baby is lying back to back! A bit worried about that as she said can prolong labour and be more painful and also increase need for intervention (she didn't say this in such a scary way but answered my questions affirmative to all ) I had 31 hours last time I hope its not longer than that!
Hope you scan went well Gymfiend.
Also so sorry to hear the news porthsmouthali hugs, hope you are back here as soon as poss x
MrsI - I'm camp Monica x
Kindof - sorry your mum upset you I accidently said something similar to my mum on the phone yesterday. I use her car. A lot. I put petrol in but I don't pay tax or insurance or any of that. It has started breaking down and I kind of went "Oh great just when it's my due date and I'm on crutches and I need to go to the midwife" which I know it is an inconvenient time but I realised a little later that it was a bit spoiled of me to say it like that as if I have rights to it or something. Hopefully your mum wasn't thinking sometimes we just blurt things out selfishly without thinking. I hope she realised that afterwards. Good luck for the scan too x
Fishcake - also health and leg uncrossing vibes for the scan and yes, I have been rubbing you furiously for good luck:grouphug: believe me!
Helen - I have been having the same problem still with the constipation - not quite as painful any more but despite the prune juice, the figs, the all bran, water and peppermint tea I still dont seem to be going. I would find it reassuring at this point too considering I'm 40 wks now. I did get to the point were I was frightened of eating but I've made up for it a bit today, just had a a mini apple pie and a mini bakewell tart
Mermaid - Our situations sound very similar indeed. I am 5 years older than OH (although I suspect we are a fair bit older than you and OH) I have a 7 yr old DD with ex (who was also 5 years younger than me) and he was also very babied by his mum. My mum judged me quite badly for getting pregnant again but she has got used to it now I think although still not thrilled and I don't think there'll be a lot of offers of babysitting! There is not shame in our situation really these days, there is no need for you to feel like that. Everyone will get used to the situation as they HAVE to. Take any negative comments when you break the news with a pinch of salt (all my mum said was that we had ruined her breakfast!) they will come around. I'm not sure how were all going to gel as a family yet and with all the different surnames etc. but I'm sure we'll cope.
Jopsey - Hugs. I have no real advice, just wanted to say that I had an appointment for a triple test and cancelled it on the last minute. I asked my friend who is a midwife whether she had the test when she had her children and she said no as it wouldn't have changed anything. She did say that my age (37) would be likely to come back with a high probablility and I knew that this would worry me stupid. I'm in two minds whether I did the right thing as on the one hand I know I would have still carried on had I found there were any problems but although no soft markers on the scan - I still don't know, I worry that if I had found out at least I would have been prepared. It's a very difficult decision that only you know what is right for you. Good luck and I do hope that the results are more to do with your age than anything else x
Jenny and Nanc - Hope you are both enjoying your ml.
EA - Congratulations, glad the scan went well. The photos were so clear. I thought it would be a boy too but then I am always wrong except with the one I'm having now.
Labour vibes to everyone with a due date coming up and good luck to those with scans coming up.
I off to try to turn this baby! xxxxxxx0 -
*baby turning vibes for Fidget* I know it's supposed to be more difficult once they're fully engaged, but also a lot of things I read said that a lot of babies still do turn in the midst of labor!
Nope, still starving. Will have to chow somethign when I get home, which isn't until 6.
