I was asked straight away if I wanted to know sex, but that was over 5 years ago (!!!) around here some hospitals won't actually tell you even if you ask now either.0
-
we were asked after she explained what she was looking at and measuring during the scan.Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0

We've chosen not to find out, but at our 20 wk scan the sonographer asked after she had done all the measurements, etc. if we wanted to find out.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

We didn't ask about finding out the sex and we weren't asked by the sonographer.
Some people have said they have had bad experiences of asking where the sonographer thinks you aren't interested in the baby's wellbeing, only the gender (complete rubbish obviosuly but it' snot nice to be spoken to like that's what they think), so I would suggest saying at the beginning-ish, something like, "once we know everything is ok, would it be possible for us to find out the sex?"0 -
I too was careful when i asked about the sex as had a friend who got stot down for asking. Thankfully the sonographer was very chatty and explained everything she could see and she said oh baby has it's legs crossed so i said oh so i we won't know what sex it will be shame. She said she was happy to try at the end of the scan but he kept his legs crossed and nothing she did made him uncross. We later had a 4d scan and the sonographer said straight the way wow it's a boy no mistaking have you seen the size of it turning to his assistant:rotfl:and when he printed off or pics he said do you want one of his wanga :rotfl:This is my signature!0
