Thanks emlou, yeah I was previously under the impression that lactulose was ok in preg but the chemist I went to would not recommend it as there over time it could not be proved to have no negative effects on baby. I really do think some of them will not say yay or nay to anything in case you try to sue. I spoke to my friend who is a MW and she said she knew of pg ladies who took it and providing I didn't go mad with it should be ok.

I was on 2 sachets of spatone a day for a while when I was diagosed with anemia  so came to the conclusion was not enough to help me and it's pretty pricey to be on long term. I so wish it had worked though would be so much more comfortable. Maybe if I just had one iron tablet and took spatone instead of the other it would help, hmm might give that a go as still have nearly a full box left.

Fidget , i was given this in hospital when i had my op , if you remember my bowels had stopped working , i was 17 weeks pg, had that serious op , and they said it was fine , they actually sent it home with me too , so if there was any risk i don't think the docs in the hospital would of perscribed it me with such risky op just being done too, also some other great stuff is ,, raisins , baked beans, peppermint squash too , all peppermint sweets

  • I can't see your pic either Karen and I do have a google account! I do photobucket too if I don't want to put them on FB.

Jenny- are you enjoying your first day of ML?

On the moses basket topic, you can use pillow cases as sheets to save buying tons that will only get used for a little while. Someone also said about putting more than one on at once so if it needs changing in the night you can just whip the top layer off!

I have a bump picture and don't really want to put it on my facebook (which is what I usually do and then attach a link). How do I put it straight on my post?

Karen , if you go to image shack and upload it there they will gove you a link to it ,

Then in the box on here where u type your post , you see all the little pictures at the top where you have a world and a link ( not htis one ) next to it you have a envelope witha little stamp top corner looks like it has mountains on it , well hover your mouse over it , it says insert image ,,, well on image shack you have a link , copy and paste that link , then click that envelope thing and right click and paste your link in there it should now show here

Oh yeh i forgot about the pillow case tip they did this in hospital.

Yes i wouldn't put bubs on a normal beanbag either that's why i wondered if anyone had a proper baby one.

ok i hate you karen. Very neat and tidy and no stretch marks. It looks lovely. I am not that brave.

Karen - can see your pic now.

First day going well but just feel like it is the weekend rather than a long term thing!

Great tip about the pillow cases - for some reason I have loads!
