Hi all, hope you're all well. I'm doing ok today but managed to pick up the winter sickness bug at work last week (lots of kids = lots of lovely germs!) and have been quite poorly since thursday. I'm not a good patient and get very frustrated when ill so not been much fun to be around really!

Have we had any bubbas born since wednesday?

So if i remember i'll try again today. But i might just give up any hope of ever speaking to her again and if i ever need a midwife to talk to, just call the maternity ward. There phone is always on :p:D

  • Morning all. 32B hugs to you xx

Well Ils have gone. Although they will be back next month after Jr is born (so not entirely sure why they came ths weekend:confused: they live 200 miles away!).

It wasn' too bad a weekend actually. My lasagna was fine and there was two x2 portions for freezing so my freezer is getting nicely stocked up although will shortly run out of space.
We went for a walk Saturday morning nd stopped at a pub for lunch until about 3ish. We were planning to go out in the evening but cause the place we wanted to eat was booked up we decided to stay at home and OH cooked a roast tea. So nice and relaxing. Saturday night had good sleep and didn't wake up till 9.30 which was nice. ILs decided to go out on their own so me and OH had a big clearout of our lounge to make more child friendly. Looks massive now! Moved two bookcases out - one to the spare room and one to the garage.

Can anyone recommend the best way to get rid of books? I have the full collection of John Grisham and Kathy Reich, plus others but not sure if it is worth trying to sell them. Not really up to doing a car boot. If not I may just take them to the charity shop to clear them out.

JHA and Kelinik - get well vibes coming your way, hope you both start feeling better soon.

    Always - hugs to you.

Boogellyboo and Somnim - you both have lovely bumps, I'm too scared to post mine now, going to aqua natal is a challenge enough! Haven't weighed myself for ages now, too scared!

Lou - I love the story about your MIL, it's great that you all get on even if it does upset your OH!

32B - So sorry to hear your news about your sister, sending extra big hugs your way. Having to tell people bad news as well is one of the hardest things, sometimes there just aren't any words. Don't forget, it's none of your families fault - depression and mental disorders like your sister has are diseases so have nothing to do with how your parents raised her or how you looked after her. It's a shame the doctors couldn't do anything for her but there is so little research in this area that the drugs aren't very sophisticated yet. I hope you sister recovers, try and stay strong whatever happens and always feel free to post on here if you feel it helps.

Nancmat and Always - Yeah for last week at work! I'm only doing 4 days :)

EA - I hope you find your ring. Maybe you should try walking the route you took and have a good look for it.

Hope everyone else is well. I'm doing much better, I cleaned the flat yesterday even though it didn't need doing and that perked my mood up loads! I think trying to deny the nesting bug was making me feel down!

    Morning ladies
Hugs to you 32b and sending you and your nig family hugs
Ea Hope you find your ring soon
Still in shock over mil on Saturday night but went and picked her up Sunday as she was in no fit state to drive back on Saturday Night and she had to miss church on sunday morning, But her and my mum have a night out planned !! We are having a girly night out down the social club my Mum and Dad go to with A drag queen and Strippers. Dont think my oh is ever going to forgive me, Will never forget his face when he walked in and she was danicing away with a fag in her hand and a drink in the other and she said to him that my dad was a "bit of alright " Still giggling about it. We got some really nice presents and about 90% of the guests think we are having a boy, will have to try and get up som e pictures of my bump soon. Jha hope you feel better soon, Aless there with you about being kicked so much at the moment more so when I am eating.

That is so funny about your MIL! I don't think my OH would ever forgive me in your position. It would be worth it though!

Everyone has an opinion on whether my bump is a boy or a girl too- about half think boy, half think girl :rotfl:.

EA- why not make a batch of curry and freeze the leftovers in portions thenb you have curry on hand whenever you fancy it. I'm lazy and often use a jar of sauce to make ours but some of them are really yummy. I've got the ingredients to make a curry from scratch this weekso will see how that turns out!

RANT ALERT!!! I am really !!!!ed off as my Tens machine was delivered this morning, but the postman didn't bother to ring the doorbell so it's gone back to the depot and as I don't have a car this week I can't get it! So flipping annoying as OH and I were both home when they came. Hopefully he can pick it up after work one day. I could arrange re-delivery but what's the point if they don't ring the bell! We also have an unlocked porch that it could have been left in, but obviously that is too much effort .

Kindof- which bank is it? Bank should take any amount of coin (as long as it is bagged up in correct dominations) but building societies will only take 5 or so bags a day as they don't have the capacity to process it.
