Hello ladies, just trying to catch up with a brew before we attack the house and try to make it presentable before belly monkeys arrival. 35 + 1 today and the time is rapidly dissapearing! All my things are sat out ready to be packed in my hospital bag which we've been meaning to do for 3 weeks but just havent got around to it.

Another slow cooker lover here too! Ive just seen on the grabbit board theres a 6.5ltr one at argos for £14.??, mines quite small so I normally get one full tea and one small tea for the two of us out of it. Im quite tempted to get this one as its big enough to fit full joints of meat in too.

Hope everyones well and bumps are behaving themselves. Ok, off to catch up backwards. Wish me luck! x

Well I'm stuck in the house all day, OH waited till i was ready to leave before telling me he had arranged to take his dad out. Can't take the kids to dads when sis is acting up because they get freaked out and i really don't want them being frightened of her it's not her fault.

So i guess it's house work for me, windows need done and i might just batch cook for dinners during the week. May just have a look on ebay for some xmas presents too.

agh all this slow cooker talk reminds me that I need to put stuff in mine for later! wahhh, just got home from the supermarket and all I wanna do is rest for a while but if I don't do the SC stuff now I'll forget and never do it! Feeling sooooo lazy today...

  • I've found that since having the slow cooker I've cooked a lot more healthily. I'm much more likely to chop up some veg and throw it in some sauce in sc than stand boiling up different pans of water.

Another nice thing to try is to get a gammon, I normally get the £4 smoked half gammon from tesco, and pop it in with some apple juice. Then when its cooked you can flake the meat and it does quite a few meals.

I'm going to attempt a jam roly poly in it soon!

I like the idea of the slow cookers but fear it'd just be another unused gadget in the kitchen and i know there's loads of threads on OS about it but i don't think i'd ever make enough different stuff to justify it.

Beenie - I thought I'd be same (especially as mine was actually a competition win!) but I find browsing around OS really does inspire you and it's soooo fab to have dinner ready for you when you're hungry rather having to stand over oven for another 30min/hour. Plus they're extra fab if you can get yourself into batch cooking!!

Ahh ok, well in that case I might invest!! My grandma was offering me hers a while ago and I never took it but if she's still got it I might go get it :)

It is sad about Stephen Gately too. I was never a massive fan but he seemed like a good guy and he was just so young.

Another Slow Cooker Fan here :)

YAY for Lasagne Ali :) I am having it for tea again tonight with SW chips again, OH ate all his (2 portions worth lol) so we have chilli out of the freezer for him to have with chips

And yes you can get large bowls, I think mine is 30 litres but you can get bigger

Somnium - Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww I love your scan pics!!! I love the foot!
