  • Have you noticed in most of the baby mags all the new mums and mums to be are always in there 30`s??? I have seen the odd 28 ish woman but nothing below 25. Maybe its just the ones I read.

Fishcake - I thought that to. Unless they are doing an article on teenage mums, thats the exeption.

I have been re-reading all my pregnancy mags as trying to save money, so that means to stop buying new ones lol :(

  • To be honest I think they only have about 4 articles repeated each month so you havent missed much lol. OH uses them to window shop for babys. He often points out the ones he likes and the ones with massive ears etc that he doesnt

Underwire bras aren't "bad" for you in pregnancy...I think they just advise switching to non-wired if you CAN due to comfort issues and your ribcage expanding slightly with baby. I'm somewhere around a G and non-wired is simply not a possibility...I haven't changed bras since getting pregnant and will only do so once I start nursing! Plan on going for a fitting once I hit 36 weeks or so so I can figure out roughly what size nursing bras I will need.

I'm 25, but I can understand why mags don't show "young" moms...if they did, all the old farts would moan that they were promoting teenage pregnancy

  • I'm 36 weeks today!

Can you ladies help me please? I've been a bit of a miserable b!tch to OH recently so I would like to do something really special on Sunday, just the two of us. Nothing too pricy, and we only have the one day since he has to work on Monday and I'm seeing the girlies Saturday night. Has anyone got any ideas of things suitable for a hugely pregnant lady that would also be a treat for OH?

I thought it was to stop your milk ducts getting crushed by the wire?

I did see an article about the dangers of being an older mum in one mag, and they had a breakdown of what age group has the highest percentage of pregnancy. I think it was 25-30 being the highest %.

I am back yes I think I had one on Sunday night bump went really hard but not sure what to expect really, how about you ???

I dunno, i feel like baby moves to the front making it go hard but i don't think it's BH's yet. I didn't get them that much with DS and they were never painful or anything, also think it was a bit later than now! Was just curious really in case i should expect some soon :D

I made the mistake of buying lots of wedding mags for ridiculous prices and everything in them was just too extravagant and expensive so it put me off a little buying baby ones in case I just saaw lots of expensive things I can't afford!

I thought I'd read somehting about underwired bras having the possibility of damaging milk ducts or something? Might have made that up though I guess!

I was 17 when preg with DS and everyone used to say that's about the best age biologically for having a baby. So my easy pregnancy and super fast labour apparently proves that to be the case, so i'm scared it won't be a straightforward labour this time since i'm an old fogey :rotfl:
