Beenie - I would and am! :) Going to sterilise first obviously, but why would it be a problem?

Ah good you're all in favour of the 2nd hand breast pump thing :D Some people seem to think it's "gross"

I think "gross" can be reserved for the time when someone thinks it's a good idea to use 2nd hand knickers or something :D

EA you totally arent fat or overweight or whatever, which I know you have said before lol you are nice and slim with a lovely bump

I was just thinking the exact same thing - you have a lovely figure and and a lovely bump. Really hope I look like that at nearly 20 weeks!

I'm 9 + 4 now and have a definite little bump :) Havent really put on any weight either which I'm VERY pleased about. My trousers are all a bit tight around the waist now. Got some fabulous pj bottoms from peacocks with a maternity style waistband (altho they;re not maternity) which are soooo comfy....just a shame I can't go to work in them! They just look like trackie bottoms so can slope about in them all day on my day off :j

  • Hi everyone, just caught up!! Hope you are all well.

EA - I agree, you look well slim in your pic and a lovely lil bump :)

Beenie - I also would use a 2nd hand pump.

Well I am on my last week of work before my 2 wks holiday then ML starts, yey!! Nearly there with training the lady who is taking over from me so thats a relief. Me and my pg colleague are leaving on the same day (she is due the day before me) so we are gonna buy everyone pizza and goodies for lunch on Friday :)

Just having my cup of RLT for today, so glad its 'drinkable' and doesnt make me gag!!

A bit of advice please for 'dressing' our cot. This is only for show really as we are not planning on baby going in there for 6 months. We have got a white wooden cot and I have put a white fitted sheet on the mattress, then used a Circus blanket on top to go with our theme. However, this leaves a gap at the top which looks like a pillow sized gap, but you are not to have pillows for babies are you. So I just thought it looked a bit odd, lol!! We do still wanna get a bumper so that might help. Just wondered if I am missing something as just want it to look nice when we and other people look at the nursery... sounds a bit silly when I read that back, lol!!

    xx

Hey everyone hope we are all OK this evening?

I can't believe how much has changed on this thread in the last 2 weeks, I haven't been able to do much more then dip in and I've probably missed loads!

Welcome to all the newbies. Can't believe we are upto June for EDDs, I still had January in my head as ages away, but I guess I haven't got as much time as I thought!

Congrats to all the ladies who have had their bundles of joy too!

I keep trying to read everything and catch up, but work is sooo busy (I need to find homes for 14 people by the 17th October- eek) I can't look at work, haven't had lnch 4 about 3 weeks and doing 7.30-5pm so long days so my brain is fried by the time I get home.

OH is also dying of man flu and blaming me as I had it last week (although nowhere near as bad obviously!), so home life is pretty boring and lonely too.

Have recently discovered CSI, so am watching lots of that.

Bubs is kicking away loads now, although usually only after 9.30 when I am in bed trying to relax so can feel it loads, which is really reassuring.

  • Evening all!

Mrs T, I am 7 weeks too, not showing but am practically living in tracksuit bottoms as jeans etc. are just too uncomfortable. This is baby number 2 for me - I'm sure I didn't feel properly pregnant until about 14 weeks last time (never had morning sickness). The tiredness is really getting me this time round - I could sleep for England!

32b - I have been through the same thing with my brother, for many years :( seeing my parents in bits because he's got himself in such a state. It was only when his old GP (a "Pull yourself together" type of chap ) retired and a new one took over the practice that he got referred for psychotherapy and CBT and things started to pick up. He still lives with my parents, and will probably be on medication for ever, but is a thousand times better than he was 5 years ago. He's an ambulance driver now, after many years of not being able to work because he couldn't face leaving the house. Sorry I can't offer any proper answers, but I do know exactly how you're feeling .

EA - Love your bump picture :T oh, and JHA too!!

Had a message on my answerphone from the community midwife today, offering me a booking-in appointment on Tuesday 20th - will be almost 10 weeks then so am quite pleased with that.

Feels really wintery round here today, was pouring with rain most of the day and was dark until about 10am!! So much for the tropical south coast :rotfl:

Hiya Kindof, he is soo pathetic with it, you know when kids stand at the bedroom door and go 'I don't feel very weeeeell', he did that yesterday. I wouldn't mind but he's nearly 30 and really fit and healthy so he should be able to attack germs better!

CSI LV is the only one I'm watching, tried Miami but not so keen on it. I love Nick- he's lovely. Now half way through season 2, so may be on season 3 by next week if OH is still ill.

Will try and post a bump pic, people keep asking when I'm due and where am I going to put it all when I say Jan, definately looking further along then I am, but putting that down to being a titch!

Got told off for wearing heels today too, not too high as were only about 4 inches, all I seem to talk about is how high my heels are and how big I am at the minute, think as long as I'm comfy not going to worry too much!
