Karen, just to add I got the ones from Matalan too they're £6. They're ok - just got a big size. I could not bring myself to spend £26 on just the one in MC or M+P - as although they are much nicer and a bit longer you really aren't going to be in them long so it's too much of a waste of money for me. When there all massive and baggy (hopefully) after I've had baby I can use them for wearing when I dye my haire and that and I won't feel guilty! - I see Jenny already came on to say this while I was posting -I'm too slow!!

Beenie - glad you're back tbh I think you will see the situation with your ex a lot more clearly when you've had your little one. I took DD's dad back after he dumped me on NYE when I fell pregnant only to find that he never did get any better when she was born and that he had been messing around with girls behind my back. While I was pregnant I would have believed anything and was so determined not to be a single mum (I know you already are) that I kidded myself deep down he cared. I think you are so vulnerable while pregnant and on your own that it is totally difficult to see things clearly and it is easy to grasp at any ray of hope. Don't be too hard on yourself - things will work out eventually one way or the other and you will wonder why you ever found it difficult.

Well done on the car boot finds and really sorry to hear you lost your photographs. x

I think I am going to try and do the 15 min plan. But I have decided today that as it is my first day I am going to potter about and watch a DVD - hard work starts tomorrow.

Thanks for all the nightie suggestions I can actually go into the city on a weekday and avoid the horrible saturday crowds :D I love AL/ML

Jennynoo - I'll let you know if I find anything worthwhile.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

    Hi Everyone,

Csh - hopefully you next, are you feeling uncomfortable now or are you coping well? Even at this stage I often feel like there is nowhere for me to "be" I'm that uncomfortable so it must be more for ladies who are closer or have gone over. I realised that I can no longer eat tea on my knee any more yesterday and even at the dining room table it's a little uncomfortable.

You just summed up exactly how I feel and I'm two weeks behind you! No where is comfortable for more than a few minutes! I do quite like sitting on my gym ball though, but it's not that relaxing as you constantly have to think about balancing!

Now that I have more time - can anyone suggest where to get some front buttoned nighties for me to put in my hospital bag - tried Asda and tesco but they don't seem to have anything - also some suitable tops for breastfeeding (hopefully I will be able to breaatfeed). All help appreciated.

I got my nighties from Primark too. They had quite a lot of patterns in button down front. I've also got a couple of feeding vests from H&M- they're just plain black and white.

I've been a good girl this morning and just spent a solid hour sorting out the nursery, putting things away and doing more washing. Going to tackle the kitchen this afternoon. If I can tackle a couple of rooms a day then hopefully it will be clean and tidy by the weekend as I have all my girly friends coming for a Mexican night.

Good luck finding something Karen - it isn't easy there aren't a lot of buttons around! Don't do any work on your first day of ML! See I said I should be advertising the plan lol - whoops gone over my 15 mins - going to do the other half of the living room now x

    Hello everyone
Well just an update from what i posted yesterday. I went into the doctors this morning to try and get an early appointment but they didn't have anything untill the afternoon, so i went back home and rang the early pregnancy clinic, told them i was booked in next week for an early scan but have had some brown discharge they told me to come in asap. So i did, they sent me to have a scan, had my scan and they said they could see my pregnancy sac but couldnt see anything but they said im prob not as far gone as we thought so i have booked to have another scan in 2weeks 19th. So just got to wait until then but i suppose it's good that i have got a pregnancy sac so hopefully my little green bean will grow into a baby!:D
Woo sorry for the long post!

I know GISI don't know what I'll be like in a few wks, me too with the gym ball but it's pretty horrid when your OH is stretched out on the couch and the only way you can feel vaguely human is balancing on an unstable surface! I've nearly come off it backwards a couple of times

.......a whole hour!!- ooh get you! ;) x

Harley - massive congrats so glad to hear it went well and she is gorgeous!!! Hope you're still feeling positive about doing it alone, i was alone with DS from day 1 and the night feeds weren't as bad as i thought they would be, so hoping i feel the same again cos i'm likely to be alone again!!

Thanks Beenie. Glad you are ok, was starting to worry especially when I checked your fb and saw you hadn't been there either.

We don't need those men love, we're both capable women and will do a fantastic job. You'll be great and DS will no doubt be able to help you with some things and it will be lovely for him to feel included too.

So far, *touch wood* its going great. She slept through the night only waking once at 4am for a feed and then slept until 8.15am. Shes now been asleep since 10am and I've had a shower, dried my hair, done some washing and sent load of emails. The parrot is squawking its head off and she's not even flinched. I am so lucky, long may it last.

I hope your babies are just as wonderful.

Only downside is the hormones have kicked in today and I'm crying at silly things. Happy stuff, like Jamie Afro still being in X Factor (not sure if he still is, I'm a week behind but catching up on sky+) and nice emails from people at work. Just scared parents, bawling at them just as they were about to leave for a 4 day break. Didn't think they were going to go but I managed to convince them I was ok and didn't need them to stay. Felt a bit stupid really, but reassured them now I hope.

Hope you're all well, thinking of Squishy today and hoping csh won't be far behind.

Fidget thanks so much for your post. You are of course right, and while i'm constantly kicking myself for trying to make it work and failing, you're so right in everything you say.

edit - You too harley, much better without having another child to look after, i.e the idiot men in question :D She sounds similar to my DS when he was newborn, it was as if he knew i was alone and trying to find my feet as a first time mam and he was so good!
