Grrrrrrr just wrote a long post, took me ages cos I was trying to do other things at same time and then lost it !!
Nikkit, hope u feel good again soon, and thats a good bargain! :T
Speaking of bargains..just been to collect my birth pool in a box that I won on ebay for a FIVER!!! :T Its a regular size one, so big enough for my OH to get in with me and has a seat in it too for me to sit on if the midwife wants to check my progress without me having to get completely out everytime! Will need to buy a new liner, but still a fantastic bargain..there £100 brand new!
Belated birthday wishes to Jenny and belated congratulations to Bear on your new arrival!! :j...good date too..was my wedding anniversary too
RLT- I started drinking it at 32 weeks, just 1 cup a day, increased this to 2 a day when I hit 34 weeks and will increase to 3 a day at 36 weeks then 4 a day from 37 weeks. Im also taking 2 calcium tablets a day and 1 EPO. I plan on increasing to x2 EPO daily from 36 weeks and possibly try inserting one too (ewwww) The RLT definatley do work..my braxtons have got really strong and regular since I upped to 2 cups a day, like my last post said, I was up for 2 hours in the night the other night in alot of discomfort! But I'll carry on with it as it must be toning my uterus.love my little man he is amazing :j0 -

Hi Everyone,
Just caught up....am supposed to be ironing and sorting the cupboard under the stairs which was my excuse for not going with OH and DD to visit ILs! They were going straight from DD's ballet lesson so it's not like a cold blooded boycott as I would have had to drive up separately anyway.
Have done nothing except visit the ASDA baby event and spend way too much money. Those nappy offers give me a headache trying to work out which is the best deal - I'm really not good at it! I kept picking boxes up then seeing some others and putting them back and swapping them for others in the end I got 144 pampers baby-dry for £12 so hope that's good!
I have been buying baby clothes for months from car boot sales and from ebay and I was under the impression I had WAY too much until last night when I was putting all the washed/ironed clothes away in the new chest of drawers sorting according to size. I've actually only got about 4 sleepsuits in each size up to 12mths, no vests/bodysuits except for 4 tiny baby ones which may not fit if baby is big and some for 6-9mths. So had to be ruthless in ASDA and chuck a decent amount of newborn/0-3 month stuff in my trolley maybe not MSE but getting a little late in the day now:eek:
Ooh also if you're buying ahead when you see bargains don't make the same mistake I have (I'm sure you wouldn't be so daft though!) I've bought 2 very fluffy snowsuits and 2 wintery fluffy coats in size 6-9mths not realising it will be actually be spring when baby is that old!
Will see if I can remember everyone:
Welcome and big congratulations to Merfe and Kenny (you do exist after all :rotfl:!)
Nikkit - it sounds like you've been having a rubbish time. You need to be looked after. I understand its been stressful for him too but I would be cross also.
It seems to me that a lot of men nowadays seem to be a bit oblivious of the need to think of others and take control in times of difficulty. I can't work out why this is, whether it's because we appear to cope better individually than we used to or that they're a bit mollycoddled. I say nowadays because my Dad was pretty damn good at it! My OH's priorities, though, still seem firmly the same as when he was single and lived at his parents......console games, spending hours on the PC and comics (oh yes!) His mum still rings to see if he has enough underwear, sorts his medicines from the doctors and he's very reluctant to take control of anything that could be deemed a responsibility. We nearly split up last week as "the last straw" came he when he had another holiday from work to go on an all day drinking binge with his mates not planning to return until late. I'm hoping we can sort something out as I'm pretty sure he won't change too much but I need to be able to respect someone I'm in a relationship with too and if they have a "can't do. won't do" attitude I can't really summon up any. Maybe my lovely (step) Dad set too high a standard for me.
**sorry for going off on one there but it's been a bit of a huge thing for me recently**
Beenie - It would have been nice if he had come and he had shown how much he cared but he does already seem to have proved in the past that he isn't capable of this. You deserve so much better.
Fitzio - Sending you easy labour vibes
Harley - Soz you're feeling poo I think our bodies have a way of knowing when the time is right so hoping you stay put till you feel strong enough to face labour. I've been stopping and starting with what I thought was colds all week and none of the symptoms seem to have stuck thankfully. Hopefully your's wont last long.
Congrats on the babyshow win Always
Helen - my work leaving was awful too I did get a card but they said they weren't getting me anything for the baby as they didn't know how big it would be. I had to sit there and watch some of the fellas from work attempt to put in a collection for me and it be refused. I don't know what that was about but it sounded like BS to me! It's not that I want anything as such was just that it felt like something else was going on that I didn't know about IYSWIM? You sound like you have been a great friend though and it's nice that your friend has someone like you there for her with the nightmare she must be going through.
EA - a lot of my friends do this "extreme lying down" thing. Some of the pics are quite funny but it does seem a bit of a waste of energy and yes, you probably don't always know what you are lying in! Me and OH did the Derren Brown thing.....OH got up straight away.......I wasn't sure at first but then realised that I can't get up that easily at the mo anyway!
GISI - I woke up around the same time with cramp in my calf too - good grief that pain is nasty! I just get my leg and hit OH with it waking him up. Don't know what I'm expecting him to do lol! I tried to compare it with labour pains when it happened and I'm afraid labour pains win - just a pity labour isn't over as quickly!
Boo and boogelly - I really like RLT! I put it off for ages as people kept saying how rank it was! I hate herbal tea usually but I actually look forward to this and may consider taking up drinking it habitually!
Weezl - did get some calcium with vit D tablets - they are supposed to be apple flavoured - they are not! They are evil! Had a dream the other night that all my teeth fell out so am now taking them religiously, however! Have been using cordasyl mouthwash too and my gums have stopped bleeding - which I think helps your teeth!
Somnium - good luck with the chair!
My main thing to do this weekend is sort out hospital bags
Ahh I'll be off as I'm going to send you all to sleep in a minute! xx0
